I have to say, after many years, they finally got it right with the Camaro tail lights, see pic below (previous versions were absolutely hideous). Now, they still have a LOT of work to do to make the car looks as sleek as the latest Mustangs. Namely the high window line and bloated front fascia.
But even if the C8 has Camaro-esque tail lights, there's still hope they will look good, unlike the C7 tail lights which are too harsh looking and will likely not stand the test of time. Although, sharing design cues between the Camaro and the Corvette will cheapen the image of the Corvette.

GM used to cheap out in the ‘80s & ‘90s making things not body colored on the cheap cars and now some people don’t think it’s cost cutting. If the tail lights didn’t look like such an afterthought the answer would be to simply only buy a black c7 and all the black cheap’d out parts all over the rest of car would match.

It may not be what you wanted and/or can afford but last I checked I don’t need to buy you anything nor care what you like or own.
As for your second statement; it appears you’re insecure and unintelligent as it neither relates to nor refuted the thread topic, or my statement.

So before release of (and even after release) of the C7 ALL we heard was complaining on top of complaining about the Vette having “Camaro Taillights” but yet very little if at all mention of it on this new C8 .... yet I think the taillights will be nearly identical to the Camaros pre ‘18 facelift. Which makes since as im sure he design language of the mid engine car has been around for several years now. I’m definitely not saying this is bad nor do I think it was bad on the C7 to bring the taillights into the modern century!

It’d be funny as heck if the C8 team pranked you all by driving around with missing camouflage that revealed Camaro tail lights...as a prank.
The absolute collapse of common sense and societal order on this forum would be epic.

Personally, I think GM dropped the ball on the c7 rear end design. I have said that since day 1 and I still stand by it. I'm not even saying it should have had round tail lights... But just being different doesn't always mean better. Also worth noting after I saw a c7 for the first time in person, I really liked the 3d-ness of the actual tail lamp when u touch it. So I guess my problem isn't really directly with the tail lamp design, but maybe moreso the orientation of the vents around the tail lamp mixed with the super high up big black piece
The wider rear of the GS, z06, zr1 look OK with the clear tail lights.. but the base c7 rear end really is not going to go down in history as an appealing design IMO; it will not age well.
These c8 tail lights tho, they seem to look pretty bad *** from the start. Plus it appears the rear vents are oriented more down and away from the tail lights

Round lights never age. Round is right. Round is natural. Round lights appeals to our sexual instincts. Design is sexual. The adverse reaction to the rear of a C7 is normal human behaviour. If you don't prefer round lights, you have severe emotional problems because you are not normal. You are confused and need help. If you don't like round lights, you should question your masculinity.
