Maybe this "unveil" is just the announcement with pics only, saying the official public release is a later date?

Although I don't know what to believe anymore when it comes to the C8, I do believe that GM needs to reveal the car soon. So many rumors, so much speculation and yet everyone knows the C8 is going to be! The " Motor City" (Detroit) the home of GM is the perfect place and time to reveal the C8! I would bet that 2 or more show car C8's are sitting at the GM Tech Center ready to be trucked to the COBO Center a short distance away. It is very possible this reveal could be at the NAIAS! I hope that is!

Why Dubai?
For the 2017 MY Corvette, they exported 2,268 to Canada, 108 to Japan, 118 to Mexico, 149 to the Mideast and 582 to Europe.
The USA is far larger a market than Dubai, so I would think that is where they would show off a new generation Corvette......not at a location that buys very few Corvettes.
Much more important that you try and impress your wife, than your neighbor's wife.

From what I have been told, NY. is still likely to be the location for the C8 reveal. We shall see.

No way, Rick Hendrick is getting the earliest vin available to customers. It would be an injustice to not give him the chance to add that car to his collection, considering that he has so many other vin #1 Corvettes. He’s also a pretty important person to GM. He probably owns more GM dealerships than anyone(I was just at Hendrick Chevy in South Carolina looking at a ZTK with the Sebring Orange package) and his Chevy NASCAR organization is one of the most successful in the sport’s history. And I think we all know about his collection of hundreds of rare and pristine GM vehicles...

I heard about his collection, and how many vettes he has in it... went to his Nascar "compound" years ago, did the tour thing, asked if his collection would ever be public for viewing? and got a blank stare like it's a secret thing.
With all his millions, he can't build a museum?

Imagine in the Petyr Baelish (Little Finger) voice :
“What is more likely? That The noble house of GM would cast its true born and full blooded heir to the world in a bastard announcement. Or, back it’s full-blooded and true heir to the lands of Chevrolet with a proper reveal? When I’m lost for answers, I like to play a little game. I ask myself, what’s the worst possible click-bait a Zerv can produce?”
The Forum remembers!
Apologies to GoT...

The other shares are owned by the Porsche/Piech families, who also own large amounts of VAG.

I am on Zervs side this time.
Maybe I am a gluten for punishment, or even a hopeless romantic but seeing the reveal on the 14th would be a dream come true.....

Why is it so many want to denounce Zerv02s posts? Is it because they don't like his posts? And is the reason that they don't like his posts because it scares them that he may be right? That the price point scares them and they want to deny and downplay anything he says?
I for one will love it if all of those who try to disprove him and his answers have to admit they were wrong. Will they admit and man up and admit they were wrong or will they try to weasel out and try to state that they were taken out of context? I can't wait and hope they have to eat crow.

Although I hope Zerv is correct, I have a feeling he will just lose ALL credibility in 11 days. If I'm wrong, I will be SO happy to apologize!

2018 proved the hardest thing for many Americans to do is to admit they were wrong.

Maybe it's going to be shown in Daytona, ahead of the 24....which I think would be REALLY cool!

I'm still hoping the reveal is them taking down the C7 hanging on the wall over the Chevy entrance at Little Caesars Arena, hanging up a C8, and seeing how long it takes for someone to notice...
And if we want to play a game of "my friend" on the Ford GT, mine worked on the project on comfort features, and even most of the employees had no clue it was coming until a couple weeks before its reveal. Ford pulled off some stupid crazy secrecy on that one, something GM couldn't do with all the sightings in the wild that have already happened. Not that it won't happen, I just don't see it having the same effect.

This would make much more sense as its a sports car race.
Not sure the Nascar crowd is into mid engine Vette or any other sports car.
Complete different crowd from the 24 hour and the Daytona 500 crowd.
I attend the 24 every year. I was hoping maybe to see the C8R do a couple laps still wrapped in camo I am sure.
