Based solely on the design in a prototype car... the design is very nice and if it is accompanied with the right leathers, CF, aluminum and quality then it would be worth it

I wonder if that slot under the display is the cupholder location, pop out. That little hatch is awfully small for cupholders. My 84 has them there but those barely hold a water bottle. I'm actually more interested in the writing on the chrome piece covering that ****. ADA maybe?
It appears to have push to shift which I'm not a fan of. Not after their bluster with the electronic parking brakes. How do I trust that lol.

You're gonna need to weigh under 200 lbs and be under 6' 3 in order to fit on this thing hello cramped !!
think the C7 is a tight fit this one's gonna fit snuggg.

another worry is, as they pack way more electronics and gadgets into the design and interior, it could lead to a lot of issues down the line. At Barret Jackson this week you will see all sorts of high end luxury sedans 10 to 15 years old go for peanuts. These cars were 130k or more new, ( even back then) and now they may only have 20 to 30k miles on them, but you can get them for $20-30k all day long. Why? Mostly electronic and up keep and so forth. Happened to me and my wife. Had a nice new higher end caddy, gave us 8 good years then it started. Freakin weird code after code and shut downs and weird crap. Thankfully my shop who deals in high end stuff said to me, we see this all the time, To be honest we could chase these codes all day and charge you for it, but being honest they said, dump it. There just seems to be something about these electronics and computers 8-10 years in that **** starts going bad and youre up the creek. Hopefully this wont be the case with the c8, but its gonna be interesting down the line how well all these cars hold up. Not a big deal for anyone now, but just thinking out loud.

^^^^ LMAO ok buddy! You keep convincing yourself that! The C class has a pretty decent interior but it's still full of plastic everywhere. It's much nicer than a comparably priced BMW or Audi though imo. Anyways, I myself will reserve final judgement on the C8 interior until I see all of it and actually sitting in one! For now I think it looks great.

IMO, C7 is no smaller than a C4 to me and this actually appears a little bigger. Just an observation. Yes I'm fat. Well my doctor says that anyway.

Because all the leather shown in these photos is Napa leather and not Mulan leather. Even the seats have Napa leather with Lear-Guilford fabric for the heating and cooling functions. None of the seats on any of the C7 models have Napa leather, only the less expensive Mulan leather.

While the C7 was a Hugh leap forward over the rental car interior of the C6 I am hoping to see another step forward with higher quality leather and switch gear.
I don't understand why anyone spending between 80 and 140k for a sports car would want anything less than a extremely high end interior.
if adding a few pounds of leather and aluminum trim is a cause for concern most all Americans could use to lose a few pounds.
How many guys on CF talk about concern of added weight of a luxurious appointed interior are there that are 20 pounds of more over weight.
I am 5 10 180lb and I know I am 15 pound from where my Dr say I should be.
I suspect most guys on CF are far from ideal weight and they are worried about a few extra pounds it take to have a luxurious interior on their high end sports cars?
Heck how many of us are good enough driver to get 8/ 10th of Corvette Z performance?
Again I know I am not that good to get there.
I will say that I am looking forward to the driving dynamic of the C8.
My 458 has similar wheelbase and weight as my 16 Callaway but feels and drives like a much smaller car . It's also far easier to drive closer to the limits and feel in complete control.
There been more than a few times that I felt the Callaway and C7 chassis was trying to kill me!

I think he may be correct. The comp.seat do not have Napa leather in my 16 Callaway sc757 with 3lt interior. On the seat you can see the grain in the leather vs the nice smooth Napa on dash and door panels.

most people didn’t pay anywhere near 80k for their corvette.
for many this is a sports car. Not a snobs car but people clearly buy for different reasons.

I am seeing neither a sports car nor an interior in those photos. They said it's a sports car "because of the sound." That's a rather novel definition.

Driving a Loaded Z OR A Ferrari have nothing to do with being a snob.
It call be a sports car enthusiasts. But if you happy with a base car with 1lt interior more power to you or in your world where guys who drive nice cars are snobs I guess you would consider yourself cheap or how about thrifty if that makes you feel better.

Is a Ferrari or Lamborghini that both come with high end materials and luxurious interior not sports cars?

C6 interior was not acceptable in materials or fit and finish for a car that was 65k or more with only the most minimum of options.
Read any objective review of the C6 and the consensus is that the interior and seat quality was clearly inferior to the competition.
Biggest improvement from C6 to C7 was the focustomer GM placed on interior and the quality of the materials used.
I am hoping for a similar improvement in the C8.
It would be nice to hear the Corvette described as a great car without the asterik of for the money.
The Corvette has been close to its competitors costing 2 times as much in the performance where it's always came up short was the interior quality.
I would gladly pay an extra 5 or 10k to have a much improved interior on the next C8.
It's reasonable to expect a luxurious interior when someone is spending 70 or 80k on a toy.
Also most folks that purchased a z06 or Zr1 spent 90k or more.
The most common interior on the z cars IA the 2 or 3 lt. .
Very few Z cars where ordered with 1 lt. That because guys spending 90 plus plus expect a high quality interior for that kind of money.
I also never said anything negative about the Corvette other than the c6 interior is rental car quality. That's just a fact.
I am on new Corvette number 11 but I am not such a fan boy that I can't objectively critic the car on it strong and weak points.
