It's exactly how it works. Ask a few of the suppliers that have tried to share information. And then go back and read Dave from Kerbeck's explanation as to why it works.
There's a reason the original post got deleted. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize why, does it?

I saw the post looked like what I remember the GM order bank looked like.
I did notice the exterior color was yellow mettalic with the interior being red. Also looked like they had to select color over ride option to get yellow ext. And red interior. Also had red seat belts.
I took notice of this as I thought who would order yellow with red interior?
Engine was listed as LT2 6.2 Seat option GT2 transmission 8speed duel clutch.
I took a call on my phone and when I went back to CF the link was gone.
I did not see where it stated it was a rear mid engine but I only had glanced over.
I was think maybe it was a 2020 C7 but then I thought why would it show 8 speed duel clutch?
Hopefully someone save a screen shot. I was unable to pull it up in my history as it just dissappeared.

A front engine car can have a DCT transaxle. The Mercedes AMG GT is a good example of this.

its only illegal for the people who have signed an NDA, once its past them and out in the open, GM can do nothing... but go after the people who leaked it who signed the NDA.
if anyone has the photos, feel free to shoot them my way, i would love to see, and have no desire to repost them. Im sure they will be re posted soon enough by someone somewhere

Leaks of products in development are a daily occurrence in the tech world. Classified government info is leaked every day with no repercussions. GM screwed up and there is nothing they can do about it now that the genie is out of the bottle.

There were zero photos of the car. Tentative things that could or could not become reality.

But as always Joe you gotta find something to argue about.
I am surprised that you did not find a way to tell everyone what great gas mileage and how much storage space your c6 z06 supercar has in this C8 post.

Burning Brakes
- 12 inch digital gauge cluster
- Fully(lumbar and bolsters included) power adjustable seats
- TARGA TOP(with storage bag to prevent damage)
- Power folding mirrors
- Colored seat belts
- Front end lift
- Painted rear badge?
- 14 Speaker Bose system, Caddy tech
- Front vision cam
- Blind spot monitor
8-speed DCT is weird, though. That likely means that it's from ZF, not Tremec.

if it did not say c8 or ME anywhere on the build sheet, i would tend to lean toward the car being the 2020 c7
I have felt for a long time that GM would put a special motor and special trans in the car to see how many c7 owners they can get to jump ship and trade in their current cars and get new ones.
We have had threads from a year ago talking about this, how there were c7's being tested, at different tracks, and how the testers refused to open the hood for bystanders who asked them to do so.
I believe its only common sense that GM release the lt2 in the c7, especially IF the c8 is experiencing delays.
now the biggest question of all... will GM do a turbo z06? and a turbo zr1? ... c7?

Two notable items I remember from the original post:
- only engine was: 6.2l V8, DI, VVT, HO, Alum
- only trans was: Auto, 8sp, Dual Clutch
And frankly, I was the first one calling BS on that original post... but the controversy around its prompt removable has me believing this person's story a bit more now.

I missed it so I don't know what it was. But if the person was taking screen shots from GM Global Connect and sharing them publicly, that's a major violation of the dealer's franchise agreement. Also, dealer's are not supposed to share any information they know that is not available to the public. If GM ever has some kind of an advisory board, the dealers on that board sign separate NDAs, but all dealer franchise agreements have sections about making disclosing non-public information.

I saw it too, and at first discounted it, but it seems credible now, and that someone definitely screwed up.

Information looked pretty detailed to be anything but the real deal.
Why do CF mods feel more of an obligation to cover a GM error than to have their forum members have all the latest information about the very subject of CF?
Does not matter how much the mods what to cover for GM this will be all over the Internet in a matter of minutes.
So much for CF claiming this is fake news
Nice try Deb!!

I saw the thread title but yawned and did not read it. That stuff is just like the C7 hype and mystery. All of the C8 info will be public someday once it goes on sale. It's not as if we are solving the mystery of Oak Island or the Lindberg Baby tragedy.

I bet that’s a $90,000 car as optioned, and it’s still going to be cheaper than a base 992 911 by thousands.
I have some doubt about that post, though. Why would the dealer already be able to configure cars if production doesn’t start until at least 5 months from now? Didn’t ZR1 orders open in the middle/end of January last year, with production starting in March? It doesn’t add up...
