I'm honestly surprised around 15% think there will be, thought it'd be much less. If those guys end up right I'll come back here and send some Congratulation posts lol.

Again..."semantics" play a role here as well.

We all pretty much know Corvette is not baking a "new generation" FE AND ME at the same time. I bet you even skank and PCMIII would agree with that absolute.

The point to settle is will Corvette continue to produce and sell FEs (possibly in a refreshed format) after the ME is announced and produced?

Historically speaking I believe the spring/summer 19 window of opportunity for the C8 is officially closed either by unplanned electrical gremlins OR deliberate planning.

Summer coming...is Corvette plan to counter the new 911 summer introduction with a C7 with more cute stickers?

I don't believe so...

Will see...

Cute stickers? No.

New drivetrain? Yes.

Corvette is not going to sit back and let Porsche and Toyota seize market share with new sports cars. The C7.5 will defend its turf.

No, it won't. Hence a convoy of camo'd ME cars running around the country.

Porsche has announced that they are going to continue to expand production of its GT cars with the 992 (they started expanding during the end of the 991.2 run).

Hope the C8 is a homerun! I know a lot of Porsche folks that are genuinely interested in the C8.

Nice looking car. I always liked them. Hang on to it!

I agree. They gave up on Fiero way too soon. It could have been developed into a formidable car.

Of course there will be both a mid engine and a front engine and it will be that way for some time. The front engine is called a "C7" and 9,000 of them are on dealer lots right now! You'll probably be able to get them for pretty good prices once the C8 comes out, and some of them (well, a few, anyway) might even be manuals. Win/Win!
