You mention "no problems with manual transmission" other than clutches.

Well, the T-56 came with compressed cardboard synchros in it (at least the GM version). Had my 2nd to 3rd gear one go out (car would pop out of 3rd) and be replaced under warranty (think there was a TSB for it too). Synchro and shift fork, they wouldn't do the rest while they were in there even at my cost, they said they had to put everything back (trans in car) and then could pull it out again and do the others.

Same car has eaten TWO clutch master cylinders, including the redesigned one that was supposed to fix the failure of the early version.
