Default C8 pre-order guide

If you are interested on getting on the pre-order purchase list, follow these 3 simple steps to being a C8 owner:

Step 1 – Get on the C8 Purchase List

Now taking a $1,000.00 refundable deposit which entitles you to placement on our purchase list for the next generation C8 Corvette.

Step 2 – GM Announces the Price / Ordering Available

*After there is published pricing from General Motors Chevrolet Division we will offer you a buyers order for the vehicle that you configure with the color and options you select.

* At that time it is your choice to either have your $1,000.00 deposit refunded orcontinue on with your purchase at MSRP, Vehicle ordered.

*Select options and equipment

Step 3 – Take delivery of your NEW C8

MSRP - $1,000 deposit – Trade (if applicable) = Final Purchase

The total vehicle price does not include state or local taxes required or titling and registration fees and charges.

Whitmoyer Chevrolet reserves the right to discontinue this offer without notice.

To learn how to get on the C8 Purchase list, call 717-653-8183

Supplier / Employee Purchases accepted

So I'm "bashing, bitching and bringing each other down" for accurately pointing out what the OP had done in the past. No name calling, just facts.

There will be many C8 buyers that are unaware of the issue of allocations. They were a huge problem with the C7 release and they will be a huge problem for the C8 release. It is important to inform the community about allocations. See my sticky thread on the subject.

You're the member that posted the video on 11/20/2018 claiming that you had the "1st in the country" deposit on a C8. That was total rubbish, as hundreds had deposits months and even years before you.1

You better do your homework on allocations before you get too excited about a deposit at Whitmoyer Chevrolet. They're not in the Top 50 Corvette Dealers, so they will get very few (if any) allocations early in the C8 production run.

Thanks Clarence for sharing the email I sent you with members of CF.. Much appreciated....Keep doing what you're doing on YOUTUBE... it's obvious someones watching. LOL

Zymurgy - I think we will be just fine, I don't see any other other dealers welcoming Supplier and GM employee purchases on C8 months before the true vehicle release.

My 2 cents.... As a moderator, wouldn't it be a good idea to uplift others in your community rather then put them down?

It seems that's what several moderators are doing around here lately. What a shame.

100% AGREE... I'm not on here much but I see it all the time. Rather then being a band of brothers in the Corvette community and supporting each other, it's nothing but a bitch fest, bringing each other down and trash talking... Maybe that's why I'm not here much.

This is correct. Many went through this with the C7 when it came out. GM does this and I am not a judge on the tactic but the "allocation" thing is the only reason that there is a huge inventory of unsold C7 cars around the country. My dealer has 32 new C7's in both 2018 and 2019 models.

I’m offering this response as counter point to the abbreviated posts posts above. Read the posts #17 thru #19 in the below thread link about ordering from small Chevy Dealers with a limited number of initial allocation. A review of Whitmoyer Auto for Corvette Sales through June 30, 2018 was 23 and therefore the #46 Corvette Sales Dealer half way through the year. They then dropped below #50 by year end 2018. However the #50 Corvette Dealer by year end 2018 sold only 42 total. I suspect Whitmoyer managed at least a few more new Corvette Sales before year end but obviously less than 42.

So, as I suggest in my experience, if you are at least at the very top of many small dealer lists (#1 especially in my case twice) you do have a reasonable chance ordering your dream ME, ALL CONSTRAINTS BEING AVOIDED early in the production.

Let me say this about Whitmoyer Chevrolet they got the 4th ZR1 built 004 and in the first 3 months of production, they had 4 ZR1's. So saying they won't get early allocations is a false statement. I am in no way affiliated with them or a customer of theirs. However, I am the Corvette manager of a Chevrolet dealership about 60 miles from them. Matt Beaver has done a great job building their Corvette sales up over the last few years.

Thanks Ed, I think we will be just fine with allocation. I just got word allocations will be based on a 36 month rolling average. We finished with 41 sales in 2018 with was just 1 unit off the chart for top 50.

We will be getting more information Monday 4/29 as dealers regarding different levels of C8 dealers, C8 Corvette design studio traveling road show trailer and when consensus ends for certain models.
