Default Who likes the rear end now?

After a few days to digest it, understand its only the base car, and expected to be starting in the 60K range, I LIKE it. I don't see the Camaro reference everyone is talking about, aside from the shape of the tail lights I don't see any resemblance to the rest of the Chevy line. Because other Chevy cars are offered in a similar shade of blue hardly makes them similar looking. Go spend some time looking at a C7 Stingray and then compare. Everything being complained about will be rectified with the Z models, (spoiler, Exhaust Tips, Tail Lights)

With the past Z model they made the tail lights clear and added wicker bills to the spoiler. The exhaust tips were exactly the same as any of the other models with NPP so yeah . . . . .

There is no doubt about its likeness to the Camaro. For me, it's tough to have a firm opinion, the leaked photo is poor quality and the angle it was taken at is equally as bad. Once everyone has the chance to see the entire car, and how the rear plays a role with the rest of the car design, is when anyone will be able to get a firm opinion on whether they like or dislike it.

I do think a wide body z06 version will look great, they always do.

No matter the opinion, so long as the C8 delivers in performance compared to the competition, nothing else will matters.

Different options on cars allow for different front ends. Why not have 2 rear ends, would not be difficult to do. Let the round tail light guys stay traditional and the other's can have the different rear end.

I don’t really care if it looks like the Camaro or any other car. I just care that it looks good or not, and to me it doesn’t look good at all. Of course I’m still reserving final judgement until the full reveal, but I doubt that will change much.

I had already decided, based on the drawings, that I was going to stay with my C7. But after seeing the leaked pics of the rear end, I'm not so sure. That looks really badazz to me. I'm more anxious than ever to see the entire car. I have no idea why the negative comments. It looks mean and intimidating, I like it.

It took me about 30 minutes to realize I like it. It's not the clean, sexy design I was hoping for, hence my initial disappointment. It is, however, aggressive, brash, and distinctively American.

I wish it set the styling trend of the brand instead of following it, but I'm at the point of realization where my complaining about that isn't going to change a thing.

I'm as excited as ever for the reveal.

I was about to make this same post... after a few days to digest it... it's tolerable now and I agree it's better than the C7 even with the corporate mandated styling elements:

1. I remembered how crappy the C7 looks in the rear vs. in person.

2. Looking at similar low angle bad pics the C8 looks better.
