So I went to Parkway Chevrolet yesterday. The salesperson told me they would order one for $5,000 down. I think she said number 185 on the list. And they are going $20,000 over MSRP. 😳
It's a shame that this and other dealerships are screwing the public. I ordered mine from Capital Chevrolet in Wake Forest, NC for MSRP. You should shop around, and go out of state if you need to.

What city/state is Parkway Chevrolet and how did they find 184 other people willing to pay $20,000 over MSRP? lol
Thanks. I know that there has to be dealers with scruples out there. Just sad, one can’t order in their hometown. I would love one, but I’m not an idiot.
If it's Parkway in Tomball, TX, they only sold 51 corvettes in 2018. I doubt very highly they have a C8 allocation in the hundreds.
You could order at MSRP from a forum dealer and even if courtesy delivery wasn't an option for whatever reason, you could have it delivered by enclosed carrier for probably around 2 or 3k. Makes no sense why anyone would pre-order at $20K over sticker.
Tomball, Texas. It’s literally on the outskirts of Houston. I was wondering the same thing. Where are these stupid people coming from? She told me people are calling from out of state offering above list so that’s why they decided to go over MSRP. I just went hmmm. I was with my daughter who was trying to buy a blazer, which by the way didn’t happen either. Way too high.
I sure will. We are meeting with our CPA at the end of Sept. to see how much capital gains we’re going to have to pay. we sold an equipment dealership in August. It will probably be a couple of months until things clear enough to see where I’m at. The end of the year may be too late to order so I will see. But I will remember this if I see my way clear.
I work right around there and went to look at a 19 Sebring orange last week. The guy asked if I purchased from them. I told him no due to price.
He explained what they did. They have multiple lists. The more you are willing to pay the higher you go. If someone does $20k over to get top spot then someone else does $25k the $20k guy gets bumped.

See, I see nothing wrong with buying a car 4k over sticker because of what you said. People who are beyond reasonable driving and need to ship from Out of state, the cost to ship is about what the cost is highlighted in red. So what benefit do people get ordering a car at MSRP and yet spending the money saved from the ADM on shipping? Now the 20k sticker is asinine and are either stupid or 20k to them is like 20 bucks. But once again there is a sucker born to buy that 20k ADM
