Joe.. it's the same with every gen.. Chevy pulls a ridiculous rabbit out of their hats with their et and there's NEVER a video to back it up.. then we wait for people to do the tests on their own.. there's no doubt it HAS THE POWER and gearing.. it's going to lack the traction no matter how goof the new 4S are... they're only 305's and it's not a prepped surface.. i think a low 3 is very respectable for the base car. BUT... the big dog is gonna need some help getting into the mid 2's when it's time.. it'll be interesting to see.

A little shy of the "advertised" numbers … but pretty impressive, overall. The low gearing in 1/2/3 really get the car moving. Has a 15.0 to 1 gearing in 1st. That's crazy low. Just remember this is only 1 run under unknown conditions (hot day?, altitude?, etc) and had some tire spin. Not to mention how good is my reaction time?? And are my assumptions valid?? Would not read too much into it, but its fun to estimate.

I take a break from this forum due to how awful the community is, and this is the first thing I see after visiting again.
This is honestly the worst community out of any car forum I've ever read. Bunch of vitriolic ********. Some of you people need to evaluate what makes you so miserable that you feel the need to hop on a forum and do literally nothing except aggressively fight over the dumbest stuff imaginable. Its just exhausting to read. Every. Single. Thread. Without fail turns into an argument with 10 people foaming at the mouth over some inconsequential BS. Mods need to just start banning people who do nothing but pick fights and disrupt the place.

Some of you people need to evaluate what makes you so miserable that you feel the need to hop on a forum and do literally nothing except aggressively fight over the dumbest stuff imaginable. Well since this is all based on sound and since sound travels at 1125 ft/second in a standard day wouldn't there be about a .25 second (approximately) delay in the camera at the start hearing the shift 2-3?

What is truly surprising four days ago I asked Tadge at the 25th NCM during his C8 presentation when they intended to release cars to Motor Trend, Road & Track, etc. he said they planned to do it at some point in the future. Why not simply tell the loyal Corvette customers they had in fact already arranged to hand over C8!

you're kidding right?? lmao.... the car went mid engine for the TRACTION benefits.. if it's spinning that bad on a 3k rpm launch?? fail... either in the launch control or the tires.. that surface is in better shape than just about anywhere outside of a fresh paved road in the sun... so it needs wider and/or stickier rubber to pull anything close to a sub 3 imo... watched it a hundred times.. clocked it as many the closest i got and stopping at the 2/3 on the nose was a 3.17.. and that was still being generous on the launch with at least a 5ft rollout. anyone getting different??
