I finalized my order on Thursday and got to 2000. I really would have liked the CF ground effects, but couldn't live with the wing. I am very excited and like many of you, I have been waiting for the Mid-engine Vette for a long time. I really enjoyed my C5 and C7 Z06/Z07 & can't wait!
Which dealer did you place the order with ?? Just curios
A relatively small dealer in Dallas area. They got 5 allocations for the first 3 months and got 2 for the 1st consensus on Sep 12. I am very grateful for getting 1 of the 2.
How do you check your event code? Do you have to contact the dealer to know this information or is there a link on the chevy website to check yours?
I think there was a website at some point to check, but not sure if it works anymore.
Last Friday, I called Corvette Concierge @ 866.424.3892. After a long wait, I was told the order was accepted by GM. When I asked if he can verify the event code 2000, he didn't even know what an event code was. I think I will call the dealership going forward to check the status.
My guess is that the strike will be over quickly and won't impact C8 production.
Given that most of the 50,000 workers live paycheck to paycheck and they only get $250 a week in strike pay which is not available until after the 15th day of the strike, they will be eager to negotiate and go back to work. The last GM strike lasted 3 days.

Which dealership in Dallas? I ordered mine thru Grapevine Chevrolet. I originally had it at Stonebriar Chevrolet, but cancelled it there after they announced they were having a mark up. Grapevine has been great and amazing service.
