I’ve always thought aftermarket “doors that go up” (whatever you want to call them) look terrible.

That being said, I love how McLaren does it, especially on the 720S. Makes getting in and out a lot easier IMO.

Never fails either. I always make it point to park far away and walk... But I have one store that is pretty unique it's a single stall next to 8 handicapped spots. No one can park beside you except handicap the other side is an island then it goes to more parking.. Ok the odds of 8 being there is zillion to one... I walk out the store and there is one car in the handicap spots.. In the 8th spot next to mine!!!! WTF really out of the 8 spots you had to park next to me the furthest from the store... It was less then 3 ft away from my car. I almost let the air out of the right side tires... LOL ********..

They are cool on the cars they were designed for but adding the aftermarket they never open and close properly. I took this photo a few years back.

I would have like to see what GM came up with when they considered alternate configurations. If someone developed a well engineered solution that I liked the final look, I would do it. We'll see what the aftermarket comes up with. I think something hinging about the A-pillar might be better than scissor.

But, I like the stock doors just fine as well.

These are actually aftermarket. The Huracan has conventional doors.
