I like the interior carbon fiber trim option, but it seems like there is very little carbon fiber added with this option and I can barely notice it in pictures.
Do any of you have an opinion either way considering it’s a $1,495 option?
Thanks

I think if I really liked the carbon fiber look, I would just buy some faux CF vinyl and do overlays for far less. IMO the reason for carbon fiber is for rigid, lightweight strength. The way it’s applied for the Corvette is largely for aesthetics. If you’re just going for looks, why pay that kind of money when you can do it for far less? There are several versions of CF vinyls that look very convincing now.

Will there be aftermarket alternatives? Yes, in varying degrees.
Am I going to order it? Yes.
My build works out to the mid-$80's. The difference between what Chevy charges versus the aftermarket is a rounding error for me.

For me, it's worth ordering....... but everyone's got an opinion as to if they think it's of value to them for the price.
I don't want to be one of the ones to say, geeze I wish I had ordered "X" after the fact then have to go buy all the parts over the counter, or aftermarket and take the car apart to install it. If the option is even remotely of interest to me, I'm ordering it........... NOW, just waiting for my order to get picked up ( hopefully on this next consensus).

Judging by the photos it looks like the carbon fiber interior pieces should be relatively easy to add on after the fact if you decide you want them.
$1500 seems a bit high for a few CF trim pieces. You used to be able to get a hood for $1500.

Carbon fiber is a premium finish used on high-end performance cars throughout the industry. So your choice as to get it or not depends on the value you personally place on making the interior of your Corvette "extra special". You will find no shortage of people here who will quite determinedly tell you "YES!" or "NO!" as to whether it is important to get or not.
You certainly don't "need" it. But the question is, do you want it enough to justify the cost?

No!
Just take a look at Ferrari's. It means ZERO to resale value. You could skip lunch and save more weight.
CF interior trim is a marketing gimmick and fashion statement.

For me, no, it's not worth it. But you're not building a car for me, so my opinion isn't really relevant.
Aside from "value," I don't like that some pieces (like the mode **** surround) are CF, but the shifter surround right next to it is still aluminum.

CF Interior
I'd like those CF pieces on the dash, but they are not available on a 1LT. I added some CF to the outside like the mirror caps and the roof panel so I'll just wait to see what the aftermarket comes out with..IMO the CF is great..I think it will look cool with the Blade Silver paint. I'd like those CF ground effects to,but $4800??....No thanks.

I like the CF wraparound dash, so yes, I'm ordering it. For me, the CF door panel trim plates and the CF console trim plate are just a bonus.
