Thinking of purchasing Vossen HF2 wheels. Anyone have these on their car?
If so, can you recommend
1. what offsets you went with (thinking of re-using existing tires)
2. dealer you purchased it from
3. price you paid including shipping.
4. do any of them provide mounting services
5. what do you folks do with the rims that come along with the car?
I was strongly considering HF2's for my 2021 that I should get in March or April but decided on HF-5's in satin black instead. Here's what I found from my research. Hope it helps.
1. The vendor and Vossen will determine the ideal offsets for the car. They will be more flush with the fenders than the stock wheels which are really tucked in (way too much, in my opinion). If you buy from a vendor that has fitted C8's they'll know what to do and you don't have to worry about figuring out the offsets. 2. I'll be purchasing from KC Trends to avoid CA sales tax. saleskctrends@gmail.com You should also consider Motorsports LA as they are a forum vendor/supporter and have fitted loads of C8's and are very active and helpful on the forum. 3. This is available online. Motorsports LA sells them for $2,796 which is a great price https://motorsportsla.com/collection...OSSEN%20WHEELS 4. You can buy wheel and tire packages from most wheel vendors and they can ship them to you already mounted and balanced if you buy the tires from them. Clearly if you just buy the wheels you'll have to have the tires removed from the stock wheels and then mounted and balanced on the new wheels. 5. Most people save them as a backup for track use or sell them through Craigslist, the forum, or eBay.
The biggest thing with the HF2's is that if you stick with a 19/20 setup you'll need new tires for the rear, which in my opinion is a pain and a deal killer. I believe it has to do with the design of the wheel and how offsets can be set up. Stick with the stock wheel sizes if you want to use the tires that come with the car. The Avant Garde M520R is a very attractive wheel that is similar to the HF2's and available in stock sized that use the original tires. https://motorsportsla.com/collection...8-19x8-5-20x11

I have contacted VOSSEN and it looks like this is NO longer the case. They are selling the HF-2 wheels so that the OEM tire sizes can be re-used.
I just did a quick search for VS Forged VS22 20" wheels (as an example), and they seem pretty competitively priced @ $650 per wheel. And they're fully forged? That seems pretty good IMO. I'm not sure of quality, etc but I'll have to keep these in mind when I start shopping for wheels.
