c8 msrp
To the OP's question - most dealerships are still delivering to people who have waited over a year and the current lists at most dealerships are at least 3/4 to a year out, so it will be quite a while until you see dealerships selling below MSRP - even used ones with miles seem to be going for 15K over MSRP, on average.
So you only pay MSRP and nothing else.
Very good and honest dealer.
I placed my order with my deposit last Feb. 11 and my new 2022 C8 was just built yesterday, Nov. 4. It will take exactly 9 months from order to delivery.
Here are my order's timeline:
Order 2/11/21
1100 9/15/21
2000 9/16/21
3000 9/21/21
3100 10/4/21
3300 10/8/21
3400 10/19/21 + VIN
3800 11/4/21
4000 11/5/21
FYI: Discounts on new C8s are currently NON-EXISTENT and will be for the foreseeable future.
The best deal that any new buyer can really get these days is paying only MSRP with absolutely no other fees added
Be careful though....there are some dealers who do sell at MSRP but add substantial additional 'creative' fees. All these fees are truly extra profits and nothing else.
For example, Criswell Chevrolet in Maryland does sell at MSRP but they add "$500.00 Processing Fee".
Ciocca Corvette in Atlantic City, NJ, sells at MSRP but they add $595.00 "doc. fee". This dealership also does not provide "courtesy delivery" which is a bummer.
Other dealers have different fees with different descriptions and reasons, but these are all extra unneeded expenses to the buyer.
Dealers make quite a huge profit on C8s, average dealer profit is at least $6K and up depending on model. They should be a lot fairer with their customers and not to add unnecessary extra fees.
I also do realize that it is a free market and dealers can charge any price that they want. At the same time a buyer has the free choice to shop and buy from any dealer of their choice.
Just open your eyes, be smart and shop wisely.
Good luck.
