Independent shop will just roll it out and tell you to call your agent. Sorry.

I suppose this tends to happen when you take off the front wheels...
Almost makes me want to put my lead ballast bags from my surf boat into the frunk before I take the car in for service...

If it happens when front wheels are removed, then the car was not securely balanced on the lift arms in the first place. Wheel removal was just the final straw that tipped the balance.

It sucks for the owner...I'm glad no one is around to document my screw-ups wrenching on cars...

These falling C8s, are getting out of hand.

I am guessing the shop insurance will be picking up the tab. But hey, if I am the owner I am asking for some serious compensation. We all know these cars are selling for $10-20K+ over sticker price.

This is awful. I am not being a smart *** but why the hell can't someone that does this for a living figure it out? Maybe Chevrolet should have a Virtual training in lifting C8s and say you can only take them to approved dealers that have passed the training. And post a list of dealers that meet the criteria on a website. Just a thought but this is getting out of hand.

Part of the problem is that there are EIGHT holes in the bottom that look like they could be for jacking pucks and be lifting spots. The wrong ones are apparently for tie downs during transport. If you use the wrong set, this happens. Maybe GM needs to mark them better, somehow:

Welcome to Chevrolet Dealer Service! I knew when this car came out it was going to be way over Mr. Goodwrench’s head!
