Default 09/18/21~Sundays C8 Corvette delivery post on Saturday eve*Mike Furman@Criswell*

~"I'm busier then a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs!"

Sunday the 19th I drive my C8 to Milford, Delaware for Norm's Wax N Chat...some folks flying in from New England
and Michigan...others driving in from the DelMarVa area. October 1st-6th I will host 3 full Corvette driving schools out at Ron Fellows Spring Mountain race track in Pahrump, Nevada.
The night before each class (Oct 1st and 3rd) I will have a pizza dinner party for one and all attendees and their guest in The Clubhouse right on track side, 6pm.

~In memory of Callaway Ben Duling. Ben bought 2 Callaway Corvettes from me over the years and we always got together at Corvette events in KY,VA, MD and PA! He will be missed by all.

~Chris Chessnoe sent me some pics of his C4 Callaway on the Criswell Chevrolet showroom floor 20 years ago from our annual Corvette show!

and Chris's daughter at a local car show.

------------
C8 deliveries this past week.

~Randy M. of Lizella, Georgia flew up to Criswell Chevrolet today to meet me and go over his new Red Mist 2021 Corvette Z51 Convt with Two tone Sky cool gray/Black interior. He completed his paperwork/payment process, had lunch at a local restaurant and then flew back home to Georgia. He asked that Plycar trucking enclose ship it the final 700 miles to his Georgia home. Randy has owned upwards of 30 Corvettes over the last 40 years!! Fun day today for sure for both of us Corvette enthusiasts!

Here is what Randy wrote on my Instagram post on his delivery.

~Roger S. of Gainesville, Georgia placed his Corvette factory order and I had it drop shipped for Courtesy delivery at his local Chevrolet dealer in his hometown of Gainesville, GA. Roger selected Silver Flare metallic with Jet black interior for his 2021 Corvette Z51 coupe. The bright red calipers and Edge Red engine cover really make this mid engine Corvette stand out.

~Joe and Teri J. of Houston, Texas was excited to take delivery of his new Rapid Blue 2021 Corvette at the National Corvette Museum and this past week he checked that off his wish list! Joe ordered the Tension Blue/Twilight Blue interior with Orange seat belts and Orange full length dual racing stripes! Email from Joe: “Mike
Good morning.
My wife and I had a great time on Friday picking up our new 3LT HTC. Larry and the team at NCM were awesome. Had a great tour of the Museum, and then picked up the car.
We put 1200 miles on it between Bowling Green and Houston Texas. We visited friends in High Ridge Missouri, and then headed back to Texas just in time to get things buttoned up before the Tropical Storm came ashore. All is well, and we had a great trip.”

~Steven G. of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania brought his son Chad with him today to take delivery of his first Corvette since he owned 2 C3’s, a 72 and a 78. Today he drove home in his Red Mist 2021 Corvette Z51 Convt with the two tone Sky cool gray/Black interior. Awesome Father/Son day for sure! “My son and I had a great day picking the car up and driving home! I drove half way and my son drove the other half! Thank you Mike for helping us spec the car out and making this long time dream a reality! This is an awesome Corvette!!!!!” Steve G.

~Barry S. of Winchester, Virginia bought his Black 2017 Corvette Z51 from me and A few months ago I gave him a sight unseen value to trade in for his Black 2021 Corvette Z51 factory order. Yesterday was delivery day and there were smiles all around! Equipment list included: two tops just like his 17, front lift, yellow calipers, cf painted wheels, and much more. Super nice guy driving a super nice stealth C8 Corvette!
Quote from Barry”A big shout out to Mike and all the Criswell employees. No pressure, in and out very quickly. Mike knows these cars inside and out. Best salesman I have ever dealt with. It was a very\ enjoyable experience.”

~Dale S. of Reno, Nevada factory ordered his Silver Flare 2021 Corvette coupe with Adrenaline Red interior, front lift, edge red calipers, performance exhaust and much more. Dale had it come to Criswell to be prepped by our Service department and today Plycar trucking loaded it up to enclose ship it the final 2,850 miles to his Reno, Nevada home.

~David C. of Belton, Missouri placed his factory order for his Torch Red 2021 Corvette Z51 Convt with Adrenaline red/Black Competition seats and almost every possible option. David wanted Our Criswell Corvette service team to perform the prep work and today Plycar trucking loaded his new Corvette for the 1,000 mile trip to his Lake house approx 3 hrs from his Belton, MO home.

~Ken R. of Gold River, California factory ordered his Arctic White 2021 Corvette Z51 Convt with Adrenaline Red interior and I had it drop shipped for Courtesy delivery at his Local to him Dealership in Stockton, California. Equipment list: body color accents, 2LT pkg, GT2 seats, CF instrument panel, edge red calipers, spectra gray wheels, red seat belts and more. Email from Ken”Just wanted to let you all know that I took delivery yesterday, picked up the new C8, and drove it home – great 1 hour ride. It's outstanding! Thank you Mike so much for all your efforts in getting me my new Corvette. Much appreciated.”

~Gary D. of Severn, Maryland factory ordered his dream Corvette and took delivery today! Corvette #4 is a Torch Red 2021 Corvette coupe with Black interior, 2LT pkg and a Red engine cover. Retired Air Force and ready for take off!!

~ Gary G. of Derwood, Maryland and Me have worked together for 30 plus years before he retired 8 years ago. Today his 2004 Trailblazer was turned in on a new 2022 Trailblazer!!

Oh yeah, that's for sure! It made the coffee on Sunday morning not quite as refreshing without the added "Corvettes From Mike."

I can relate to this as my C8 was the first dropped in Delaware back in Mar, 2020. BACK/BOTTOM position FIRST. Jack Cooper Transport are Pros.

Congrats to the new C8 owners!! It certainly is great to see that you are doing your part to help the supply of Corvettes catch up with demand.
😇

Favorite throwback photo is the tire air pump. Every gaaoline station had them and free air was available any time.. Now they are rarer than hen's teeth and when you do find one, it costs $1 or more to fill your tires. The only place I know of with free tire air is Wawa.

The scariest photo is the C8 being damaged by the car carrier. Somebody got in a lot of trouble for that and a customer ended up being very disappointed.

Keep up the great work and realize how much your photos brighten up our Sunday mornings!!

Free air -- something yiu almost never find anymore except at some Wawa locations. I used to love the bell ringing as you filled up your car tires.

That was obviously a very bad day for the customer, the driver and his company -- not to mention the insurance agent who got the call.
