C8 model gift from Chevrolet

It is supposed to be automatically sent by Chevrolet to all original buyers of MY2020-2022 inclusive (probably 2023's as well) based upon the delivery paperwork submitted to Chevrolet at the time of purchase/delivery of your C8 by your Dealer. No additional paperwork is necessary for this promotional gift. However, there are clearly problems in the process of getting these to the original owner. I have seen posts where 2020 deliveries still have not received their respective Speed Model, and I took delivery of my C8 in April, 2021 and have not yet received my Speed Model, and no one seems able to help me locate/track it down...

The models aren't actually handled / made / shipped by GM. They've hired a marketing firm to do the fulfillment. I believe it's a Canadian company, but not 100% certain about that. I'm willing to bet the models are made in Asia, and some of the delays are attributable to the global shipping issue. It took 8 months from my delivery to get my model. Most people seem to get them eventually, but an unlucky few seem to have fallen through the cracks.
I recall seeing the name and maybe contact info for the company handling fulfillment. I'll see if I can find that again. If you've waited more than 6 or 8 months, it might be worth contacting them, if anyone can find the info.

Did anyone with a 22 order get their model yet?

Well, after almost 54 weeks to the day (R8C delivery, April 2, 2021), I received my Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic HTC C8 Speed Model from Chevrolet/General Motors. I have to say, I think it's pretty cool looking and a nice model and keepsake. I think mine was sent from a different marketing firm than some of the other CF Members have reported. My speed model was delivered via FedEx today (April 14, 2022) from Chevrolet Fulfillment Center out of Troy, Michigan. I believe others have received theirs from a Canadian marketing firm and others still from a firm in California.
I hope that this information helps those of you that haven't gotten their Speed Model yet. It looks like they will eventually catch up to you and get delivered. I'm not sure how to post pictures on CF, but if I figure it out I will post some. It looks like all the others except it's in the color and shape of my HTC C8. Keep the faith, it will come.
Happy Easter!

Some owners have expressed difficulty in receiving the Speed Model due to the fact that they had moved after purchasing their C8, however, I haven't moved addresses in 32 years and it still took over a year to receive my Speed Model. So, it does finally get to you but it may be quite a wait for some. They appear to be produced in batches based upon type C8 (HTC or Coupe) and color. At least that appears to be the case.

Wherever they ship from was like everything else late in delivery! Why should that vendor be different!
It's displayed near my favorite pic of the C8: I'm a fan of modern art!
Also have pic of Janis Joplin's Porsche in Man Cave taken when on display at the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame. Nude pic was outside the Men's room!

Received my speed model this week. Paid for my 2021 C8 at dealership on July 19, 2021 took delivery at NCM on August 6, 2021. So took 38 weeks after purchasing car or 35 weeks after taking delivery to receive my model. My model was shipped FedEx from Chevrolet Fulfillment Center, 528 Robins Drive, Troy, MI.

My non-Z51 was delivered on 08/25/2021 and received the model last month (March). Very impressive! There is a magnetic connection between the car and the base. You can separate the two but the magnets are so precise that the car automatically centers itself when you put the car back onto the base.

Call the GM Corvette Concierge. I still don't have mine from my 4/1/21 delivered 2021. I called today and they said some were taking a long time (DUH!). they said they would escalate it. I already called months ago and still nothing...
