Good day! I ordered mine in May of 2019. I recieved it last week. I was #10 on the list in 2020 and the dealer was allocated 3. In 2021, I was #7 and the dealer was allocated ZERO. Four people gave up so I was #3 on the list. The dealer received THREE! Bought at sticker from an honest dealer. Be patient. Call your dealer and find out if you still get the 2022 price, which went up on June 13th.
I was protected throughout 2020 and 2021, but not 2022. My car went up $3000 from my original contract. I think it was worth the wait and price increase as their were significant teething problems with the 2020's. My Father always warned me, "NEVER buy the first year of production of any automobile.
The wait can be long or short, it all depends on how many allocations your dealer gets per year. Just say you are # 10 and your dealer get's 3 allocations per year, you could be waiting 4 years.

Cool. I’m number 614. I’ve been in line for about five months.
Just read c8 orders are 2 years out. I'm #6 on my dealers allocation list. I'm 74 and may never get it. No way I'll pay over msrp. My c7 has 42k on it and I just spent 4,400 to have yhe steering rack replaced.
These seem like really long waits. I only waited 10 months from getting on my dealers list and driving my C8 home. My dealer only gets around 4 allocations a year. I’m also on his list for my next C8. I buy new every 3 years so he has me getting his first 2025 allocation. That’s one of many advantages of buying all my cars from the same local dealership.
Listening to these long waits I now understand why so many recommend MM and other large dealerships to order their C8’s.
Let me share my experience with MM - Placed my deposit in late Sep 2021, and picked up the car locally in late July 2022. So, it's just under 10 months.
I am also in WA (Seattle), and some local dealer said it's a 3+ year wait (but I know they just want to add ADM)...
Good luck with yours

Similar wait time at MM. Oct 25 deposit, Hoping car will be shipped to me in the next 7 - 10 days. I was able to get everything I wanted including Z51 and Mag ride without any delays.
It all depends on how many allocations your dealer gets, and how long their waiting list is. The big three dealers get a lot of allocations, but also have hundreds (or maybe thousands) of people on their waiting list. A small dealer may only have 5 or 10 people on a list, but only get 4 Corvettes a year.
So the general answer is yes, the wait can easily be more than a year. To get a feel for how long YOUR wait will be when placing an order, you need to know two things: How many Corvette allocations your dealer expects to get each month or year, and how many people are on their waiting list. It appears you didn't ask the dealer how long the wait would be, and they didn't volunteer that information. You should now ask them how many allocations they expect to get in the next year. That will give you an idea how much longer you have to wait.

Get on MacMulkin list in New Hampshire. MSRP. 12-14 month time of delivery. Then just do courtesy delivery to dealer in your state. I did that and got mine delivered to South FL. Highly recommend MacMulkin!
I think a year is a little tooo long to wait. This is what happens to smaller dealerships that have customers that are loyal while the bigger dealerships get first dibs
That's the GM way
May 2019 order that's utterly ridiculous for a car Unless they have changed their regions and structure they used to have reps go around to dealers and help them get certain cars and order cars, That dealer should have been able to get your car sooner than that I mean they should know other dealers that could have helped get your car

As usual Walter you know exactly how it works.
I’m a loyal customer at my small local dealership and I got my C8 in less than 10 months. It has nothing to do with GM and everything to do with how many Corvettes they sell. My dealer only get around 4 allocations a year for C8’s right now and since I am a loyal customer I have no problem getting one of them.
Dealer wait list is an area where GM could at least add some structure and enforcement. Dealers that do not publish a list with customer numbers and their place in line are not to be trusted, period .
