How does the dexosR specification for 0W-40 motor oil differ from the dexos2 specification for 0W-40 motor oil, and why should I use the dexosR approved motor oil in my C8.

Cant wait for this answer (I thought only one was required at the 7,500 mark.. LOL!

There is nothing in the procedure for changing the DCT external canister filter that distinguishes the first filter change from any of the others. Nothing that says - "if this is the 7,500 mile change, then perform the HSF". Instead, step 1 of the procedure, without any qualifications or caveats, says "perform the hydraulic system flush". And before you ask, there is not a different procedure for the first change either (that we know of). One, and only one procedure for the DCT external canister filter change. All of us are going by what is written in the Service Manual. If the intent is different, they can clarify it for us, which is exactly why I am asking the question.

Can the average owner do their own external DCT filter change just like they can change their own oil?

Why didn’t they put a drain on the HTC deck lid behind the driver by the window? It always collects water when it rains or you wash the car.

Not sure if I can ask another but

why haven’t they addressed the 3LT dash delaminating issue?

Can you provide any detail as to why a number of both Z06 and Stingray models were sent to Detroit for special observation/repairs?

Default engine performance

Exactly what aspects of engine performance are modified for each of the engine/shift settings (Weather, Tour, Sport, Track)? That is, does it modify ignition timing, valve timing, fuel trim bias, etc.)

Steve - new to your podcast - really enjoy it.
1. Lithium Battery, Okay? (posted this one on ZO6 section)
2. My Mode “maxed out” versus Track Mode. Does Track Mode enable any kind of engine performance enhancements that is not adjustable in the My Mode setting screen? Seems to me it does.
3. Warm up times – first cold start of the day. Many different views here regarding this. Drive after idle slows down - versus let it warm up a few minutes to reach a certain temp.

This will be recorded during the Michelin NCM Bash in late April. So it will be available in early May.

@FL-355 Question #2 would be a good question if you asked about Z mode (maxed out) vs Track mode - are they the same or does Track mode do some other magic. My Mode, however, does NOT let you set the engine/shift setting like Z Mode does, so NO, it will not be the same as Track Mode.

If tranny or diff upgrades are expected for ZR1, would other models such as 2025 Z06 inherit those same upgrades? Similar to when 2019 C7 ZR1 was introduced?

I guess misery loves company. I went in for my free oil and transmission change. They said I had a seepage in DCT. Drove it 300 miles with a dye added; returned and they replaced the filter assembly(?). Found a ‘leak’ this time, overnighted some part (?), then needed one-time-use bolts which were out of stock everywhere. Then they had to replace DCT pan!
Three+ weeks later I get my car back. Service Advisor was clueless. Spoke briefly with tech who said I was on Gen 3 of the pan(?) and new pan is completely redesigned (fewer bolts). Communication during the entire process was extremely poor!

Are all Service Departments this bad?
