i have tried to read the posts about the new colors. no problem with the new orange and yellow replacing the existing pallet. reserve judgement on hysteria purple till we see one on a vehicle.
but i haven't seen any confirmation of other colors being dropped. i wouldn't be surprised to see ceramic matrix gray or carbon flash go. or maybe gm plans to expand 14 color choices to 15.

I would have to guess that a couple of the existing colors, those that have failed to garner sufficient market share will be phased out. Makes sense from a cost standpoint. Which ones may be on the chopping block, I haven’t heard about either.

I dont believe the older version of the yellow was a metallic tintcoat. I'd bet it will look different than the older version.

In Cars and Crosbie's recent NCM walkthrough upload, he mentions CMG will be discontinued. Looks like that got replaced by Hysteria while the yellow and orange got straight in kind replacements.

that would make sense. the color has been around since at least 2018. and it then maintains the 14 color pallet. i admire the carbon flash black, it sparkles in the sun. maybe a good idea to keep.

Per Casey's C7 Corvette facts book, Ceramic Matrix Gray (CMG) has been around since the 2018 model year (2018 was a short production year). If you've seen CMG parked next to an Arctic White or Silver car, the color shows a hint of blue. That's why the 2018 Carbon 65 Edition had graphics with blue in them. Personally, I am surprised that the CMG color has lasted so many model years on Corvette (currently, six years). But, I suspect that the color has been kept because, worldwide, an off-white color with metallic or pearl in the formula is quite popular. Look at Cadillac, with their Goldstream Metallic, Pearl White Tri-Coat, Pearl Flax Tri-Coat. Those Cadillac colors have a hint of yellow, or champagne to them. If CMG is retired, will Corvette see an off-white Champagne Tri-Coat? And Bowling Green has done a tri-coat two years in a row (70th White Pearl and now Sea Wolf Gray). I think CMG is one of the "mature" or "classy" colors on the Corvette exterior color palette.

Sorry, I don't buy that this the new color. Custom wheels in a row with other wrapped cars, and the color is not due out until 2025.. it has a Z51 spoiler on Z06 car. This looks to be some vendor at the Bash, not a GM booth.

The folks at paragon said it was... I am gonna call tomorrow and see if i can get a paint code since they released the color and get some mixed up and do a spray out

The car is a purple PPF there is multiple videos on YouTube about it. It's not the tru GM color but there is a video that shows where they brought over the display and it definitely shows the blue in the new color GM is coming out with

That is a custom purple PPF wrap on a 2024 Z06, not Hysteria. But I am sure you know that and are trolling.
