1) I have my C8 programmed such that the seats move all the way back and streering wheel all the way forward on exit...

2) Open the door all the way...

3) Place left leg out first touching the ground

4) Place left hand on door sill (for support) area near the tire pressure label.

5) Place right hand on left side of steering wheel to lift and push myself out without rubbing the left bolster or touching sill plate..

The exit setting should also include raising the seat up to the highest position to facilitate entry and exit.

Be careful if you use the bolster on the seat-back as the airbag module is attached to the outside of the seat. Hate to have that go off or damage it! - I push up on the painted frame of the body

Been there, done that. More often than I want to admit. It's easy to "fall in", but getting out a small crane would help a lot.
I'm cracking up here because that has been my experience to a tee! I'm 6' 3" and around 225 lbs. and I pretty much just fall into the car (competition seats) but getting out is a whole 'nother experience. My 2017 GS was definitely easier but it's a small price to pay for driving a C8.
