The only time my driving shoes come out of the closet is when I'm driving my 3-pedal Ferrari..... for the C8, it's just whatever shoes comes to hand at the moment....

Before going to Ron Fellows I poked around the interwebs looking for suggestions. I found a C&D article that recommended Stan Smith Originals. They are excellent -- stiff and narrow sole.

Try to set up the “exit” memory button to move the seat as much back and high as possible to help with easier egress. At least that’s what I have set at.

Wait until you catch your heel coming into a corner at 120+mph. I never had a pair until that happened to me a couple times on track days. For casual driving, no you really don't need them, but if pushing it on twisty roads they do help. When you consider driving shoes dont cost much more than nice general use shoes, having a pair may make sense.

For those of you who always have to break negative on everything, I suggest these:

If what you want is shoes with the Corvette logo, rather than actual driving shoes, just Google: Corvette Shoes

There are lots of them: https://www.google.com/search?q=corv...hrome&ie=UTF-8

Piloti made a couple varieties of Corvette driving shoes during C7 era, but no longer. Beware of the shoes like above. I bought a pair and they were really crappy Chinese junk shoes. There was no arch support, crappy uppers, etc. and too expensive even at $35. I just Gave them away to charity so if you see a homeless guy in AZ with Corvette shoes on, you know where they came from!

Don't bother. I bought a pair thinking I would need them when I went to Ron Fellows after I bought my C7. I wore them for two days and they have resided in their original box in my closet since then.

Here are examples of the Corvette shoes Pilotti sold in C7 era. I wish they still made them!

Be careful of sites selling "closeouts". Most seem to be scams....I almost got caught in one of them.
