The quicker initial acceleration is due to the gearing in the differential. The lower top speed is due to gearing and extra drag of the "aero" (wing, brake ducting) package. .
The higher speed thru the "traps" of the non Z51, along with the identical time indicates that anything (in a straight line) more than 1/4 mile the "non" is pulling away. ..
All this is more so if the "non" has the NPP so that it has the same HP as the "Z". ..
Around a circuit, the aero package will allow greater cornering speeds. They have bigger brakes so can go deeper into turns, and the differential gearing gives better corner exit all adding up to lower lap times---given identical tires---but the "Z" tires are stickier and hold up longer before degradation. ...
So.. on the street, anything longer than 1/4 mile the non Z (and roads ARE much longer than that.) .. .. on the track the Z package. ..

The numbers are even different for HTCs vs the Coupe. The HTC carries more weight and has slower 0-60 numbers on average. I have posted a 0-60 for a HTC on All season tires at 2.95s. This is confirmed from multiple sources including a "Dragy". The fastest reported Non-Z51 HTC in the 1/4 mile that I am aware of is by Fore58 in 11.298s at 120.98 mph. Times are always dependent on air conditions and the Density Altitude at the time of the run.
The tops speed of the Z51 being slower than the base stingray non-Z51 is all attributed to the existence of the splitter, spoiler and other aero frag factors.
