Passive lock function

I've used passive lock and horn beep on my two C7s. With my 2020 C8 and now E-Ray I have mirrors fold as well. I like when I park wherever, anyone watching can hear the car lock!
My FOB is either in my pocket or the draw with wallet in the house. Use the car push buttons to open Frunk and Trunk.

I never physically use my FOB.
I put the FOB in my pocket when I am leaving the house in the Vette.
I pull the handle on the door to unlock the car and open the door. I drive the car. I let the car lock itself when I exit.
The FOB never leaves my front pocket. I think that's the whole point of "keyless".

YEP. same. BUT I do sometimes reach in pocket and remote start it, or pop Frunk when walking up to it with bag of grocerys. other times I use the hidden buttons.

Yes, and yes. If you leave the passive feature on and you leave the fob in the car, the car will lock and you better have another set of keys to get back in. I'm telling you this from experience. That passive system was abandoned by GM because it wasn't very reliable. Good idea but had too many glitches.

Having the car locked out in Public Is like locking the doors to You’re House. It keeps the Honest Folks from getting in. A thief is going to bust a window to get in. How do I know? Left My car unlocked one time. They busted the drivers side window to seal some speakers. The dang window cost Me more than the speakers were worth. So now. I don’t worry about locking My car nor My house. At the House I have 3 German Shepherds so……. That kinda makes Me not worry about the House much😁
