Having a Stingray, I thought it might be nice to add a "Corvette" or perhaps "Stingray" name on the side in a contrasting color...probably red to go with my brake calipers.
I envision the letter size to be 1" or 1.5" so not large.
I would place it where the Z06, E-Ray, XR1 and new Grand Sport names are...in front of the rear wheels. I think they add something to the car's side view. So, anyone know of a shop which can produce something in the correct style?
And before you suggest.... Vettestripes website only gives a phone number. I have called and get a recording to leave a message..then told the mailbox is full.
What about something a little larger like porsche does across the base of the 911 door sometimes? That could be interesting...
I have always liked that "Carrera" script using body color to help form the word.
It would be interesting to see a professional design for something similar for the C8, but with all those body lines, it may not work. It might look "crinkeked" from a distance.
Right now, I'm just thinking of something small to give the Stingray a bit of an identity like the other badges in the range.
I found a source on ebay, they make a large (3 ') version for the quarter panels above the wheels, but are willing to resize it (for the same price as their billboards, so hardly a great deal).
.
If you want a transfer of individual letters, someone with a Cricut could probably help you? Or possibly a local sign shop could help. Both options provide high quality vinyl. What version of "STINGRAY" do you want?
Any good graphics art business can scan, model, and pretty much laser cut any thing you want. I was lucky to have a great graphic artist/wrapper where I lived in IL for years. He could do anything for me. Since then I moved to AZ and he moved his business to FL.
Find a good sign shop that will work with you to design and produce the decal you want.
I agree. Find a local truck letterer with artistic talent who will incorporate your ideas with his to create a custom piece. That is what I did. In my opinion, that displays more class than decals (which befits a Corvette).😇
