I was guessing they leaked that on purpose to keep interest alive.

look at this video between 45 and 50 seconds; there is canvas covering the back window, which only makes sense if it is vertical. not a visually pretty design, but maybe practical.

It looks slanted to me. Vertical rear windows went out in the 90s. Slanted rear window is much more aero + the engine they leaked needs more vertical room.

It'll have to have a vertical rear window separating the engine bay from the cabin.. unless they went the route of the Cayman/Boxter and are sealing the engine up. They could've been driving the test cars around with just that divider window in place and missing the slanted glass cover/hatch/window to better disguise the shape.

That’s how all modern mid engine sports cars are.

Clear cover?
Only makes sense it will be an extra cost option.

As is, I don't a Vette engine was ever unattractive.

Then aftermarket can go further and add louvers and all for fair weather cars.

Anyone see the new Lambo Urus and it full cover plastic engine cover...that cover is a disappointing.

I am looking forward to a ME at a $50K base Coupe price then ranging to its ZR1 Vert at $150K fully optioned price. Calif Tax, DMV, Gas Guzzler and all may add to $175K out the door.
