An engineer who can spell, in all probability, is not a good engineer. An engineer can learn Chinese or Hebrew a lot easier than he can learn western languages especially English.
I don't think most modern engines are good looking so I think a "window" is not worth it. The motor in the Ferarri 360 Modena was pretty unlike most of today's motors with all manner of wiring and plastic pieces. In particular the LS and now the LT motors and not good looking at all but that's just what I think. The C6 ZR1 window was a joke to me because all you saw was the top of a supercharger and not much to look at, but what do I know as I still like the C6 ZR1.

Maybe if they paint the cylinder heads LSX orange and get rid off all of the cheap plastic pieces. But an open glass engine cover such as a Huracan or F40 would be cool.
I doubt it but if so, I would hope GM fits it with nice looking intake manifold.
The regular LT1 isn't worth seeing under glass.
Making an engine look good enough to put a window on the bonnet so you can see it is not in GM's cost structure.
The plastic has to go,
The intakes need to be cast aluminum,
The helmholtz resonator needs to look good,
a bunch of ancillaries have to be made "pretty",
I am sure there will be some visibility and it will be designed rather pleasing to the eye. I have faith it will look outstanding, visible or not. I hope for a class panel over the engine with nice engine dress up, if not... then aggressive louvers in its place.
I suspect it will have some sort of window with a luggage rack like the 570GT or only a very small visible portion ike the 570S. I highly doubt it will be visible for the reasons noted in posts above. And I also highly doubt flying buttresses a la 80's and 90's Ferraris.

Nada gonna 'appen.
Unfortunately, you are most likely correct. The only off chance you're NOT correct is they do put a window in......but when you look over your shoulder, all you'll see is a giant-*** pizza box plastic cover over everything like the new Acura NSX has going on.

Haha had a thread going yesterday and some saying I was a bad engineer because of grammar.
Thank you for understanding
My friend is an engineer who is #1 in the world in his field. English is not his primary language and is broken at (most) times. Despite that, it does not affect his engineering performance, nor stature amongst his peers, at all.

take a close look at this shot. I think I see camo "under" the black tarp.
Does this mean a closed rear window or very small?
i'm afraid the rear window is vertical, with louvers possible in the engine cover area.
look at this video between 45 and 50 seconds; there is canvas covering the back window, which only makes sense if it is vertical. not a visually pretty design, but maybe practical.
