note how the Camaro lights fill the space the same way as the rendering.
not very different, especially since we don't know exactly how the design will be.
The "U" shape may be larger but we don't know for sure.

Thanks, FVS! This rendering finally, for me, shows what may be expected regarding the rear facia contours. Now the rear vents look proper. I’m thinking the taillights may also dip lower into the facia, being larger in height. Just a guess based on the “accidental” paint shop photo. Sort of along the same line as the ZR1 front facia looked a bit “ho-humm” to me until I saw the beautiful contours raised 3 dimensionally giving it a much more attractive presence.

....With the C7 design is such a unique design I seriously think not one element of its exterior will be carried forward to GM ‘Future Product’, at least not in the short run.....
I agree 100%.
FWIW, I became aware of the "Transformers concept car" around the same time frame we started seeing C6 ZR1 mules without camo. During that time and possibly in the same building were early "bucks" of ME that were dormant because of 2008 market crash. As you point out it appears some styling cues appear to have migrated from "Transformers concept car" to what we are seeing in latest ME mules. A retired (from GM) friend sent me spy pics of both C6 ZR1 (surroundings edited out) and the yet to be known what it was "Transformer concept car".
^^^^^^^^ FVS, that is 1000% better in top to middle to bottom ratio and pleaseing to the eye. Whether the actual taillights are accurate or not. Finally, my wish has been answered.
That is firstvettesoon rendering, the same sharp fellow who did all the other sensible renderings and he is in direct contact with C7pimp. I believe we will get a camaro like effect on this one.
What... we have celebrity's in house?! Nice, well, keep it up. Wonder how many vents will be on it...
FVS, I think you are getting real close. For your consideration note how this render (bottom one of three from your above post) looks compared to the break lights on from a still of that 9 sec video. The two rows of three LED lights are the same size and equally lit, one on top of the other. Production lights, we shall see.
I really wish GM would get out of this folded sheet design trend and go back to more organic forms.
Honestly, if you told me that was the back of the new Camaro I would have believed it. The Vette should lead in design, not follow.
You all are letting FVS lead you down a very much non established path as if it were gold stamped. As I stated before, the brother is skilled in Photoshop, but vision and imagination is woefully absent. It has to be what's been seen on the C7, or be damned! C7pimp has said it's not correctly rendered and even did a drawing to show the basic concave design, ... , and he comes back with the same thing, C7 with a concave! , .. or if not, with a Camaro last gen ******. Not even the 2019 Camaro uses the examples depicted anymore. I certainly have no established idea of what they'll look like, but I'd bet a break to something wildly different as opposed to something inherited. Look at the 2019 Camaro tail lights, (Which look awful, IMO .. ) They don't share anything with the 2018 Camaro units. Wouldn't surprise me, if the ME showed up with a pair of squared, angular, concave rings , ... I sure hope not though!

I know we’ve been through this already, but I personally saw the whole car, uncovered. This rendering is the closest anyone has gotten to the taillights, you are right on the money!
I wander what profile the opening seam of the door would look like? If the vent is a far forward as shown, then part of that vent would have to be incorporated into the door.

it’s a pretty safe bet at this point to say,
That if one loves the rear view of a C7 he will love the rear view of the C8.
