Default C8 Features

What features do you guys feel the C8 needs to have whether it be interior or exterior that you feel the C7 was missing? I personally feel it needs to have wireless apple car play, heated steering wheel, and blind spot monitoring. While I would love to have active aero and the ability to raise and lower the front end, I can’t see them being offered in the base variant.

I think memory settings, rain sensing wipers, and a link to a car antenna in the arm rest like the Porsche does because I constantly lose signal when my phone sits in there. I also think they could take some cues from Tesla with regard to software updates, like when they make changes to the digital display layouts etc, you can update, even if it's a recurring monthly or one time charge. Actual air conditioned seats.

Excellent thermal management of all drive train components. Additional engineered headroom for drive train components to increase durability. Differentials/gearboxes not underfilled from the factory. Forged, powder coated wheels. Ability to get fixed roof coupe. 650-700 hp. Ability to surrender warranty in exchange for unlocking ECM/PCM.

If it does not come with a manual, then it is not worth buying. My opinion only of course.

As far as driver doo dads, it will need a rearview camera mirror standard. GM has these as options on some Cadillacs and the BoltEV and in my view they should be standard equipment on any car with limited outward visibility like the C8. Blind spot alerts and rear collision alerts should also be standard on such cars.

Yup, blind spot monitoring should be standard on all versions.

Apple carplay wouldn't make sense. Most people have Android phones. It would need to be compatible with both, or just go with open source protocols.

I’m not looking to start a war, here, but the iPhone dominates the 40-60 year old upper-middle segment in North America, which happens to be the Corvettes bread and butter. In fact, in North America, there are more iPhone users than Android, period.

It’s a moot point, anyway, because most automakers offer both Carplay and Android Auto support.

No worries, GM offers both Android Auto and Carplay. I would love to see wireless Carplay to go with wireless charging.

Also, give us a place to stow our phones! The new Camaro has no place whatsoever to put a phone except for a platform in the rear seat area.

I would like like to see a track focused option. Nothing more than AC, power windows/locks, a radio and cruise control. Leave all the luxury options out.

I like what it offers now and don't want the weight and complexity of all the driver assistance stuff. Higher resolution screen/backup camera is the only thing that comes to mind that can be improved on the C7.

Legroom is going to be tough to come by. I think my biggest worry is it wont be fun to drive for long distances eg a one trick pony of sorts.

I hope I'm wrong. But these exotics are not comfortable imho.
