This will be my first street legal supercars! I'm getting one just for me...but without that black inlet scoop on the side...luckily it's an option

Are you buying the car to sell it or enjoy it? Cars are not investments. They are tools either for enjoyment or beast of burden. This is meant for adding enjoyment to life.

Very impressed with what I saw and have read on the new C8. While I have no intention of selling my C6 to make room for the C8, I might have to sell some toys and make room for one sooner than later.

This is LITERALLY the most amazing car ever produced... what they give you for 60K is absolutely mind numbing.... I can't wait to get one of these things

You've still got to get the longitudinal stiffness in the car. They made a point of the low door sills, so I'm guessing that caused the console to get larger. If they didn't have the roof removable they could make the console a lot smaller, but buyers would revolt.

LOVE THE CAR. And the starting price tag may have been the biggest surprise of the reveal.

I've gotta get a bigger garage...

Have a good one,
Mike

It’s a mass produced product, so it’s best to make it appeal, and be available to as many people as possible.

We’ll have plenty of special editions, trim levels, and performance packages for the people who need to one-up their neighbors.

Profit from the sales of the base models is what will make it worthwhile for GM to justify the cost of the program, and make the more exclusive models even possible.

I’ve been a Corvette owner for 50 years and I have to say that the C8 absolutely blows me away. It looks fantastic. I know Zora would have been very proud! Great job Corvette team.

I was blown away by the reveal last night. I think GM did a mic drop to all the car companies of the world. Mid-engined super car with sub-3 second performance starting under $60k. Only a few thousand more than the current model. Judging by the 2019 build site. I bet a 2LT with Z51 will be available for right around $70k. On top of it all they are gonna make a right hand drive version. They are gonna sell a million of them.

I won't be able to buy one brand new, I figure right about the time they release the Z06 version and everyone starts trading their base Z51 versions, I'll make my move. Probably in the 2021-2022 time frame....it's gonna be a long wait.

WOW

I was completely ready for disappointment and would have to settle for a C7 which I have never warmed up to..I am happy to be wrong on all counts
This is beautiful, thank you GM!

I have contemplated a Corvette for many years, I’ve had 911’s/M3’s/Audi’s/etc and I currently have a Shelby for power and S2000 for top down fun. The interior stopped me from buying the C6 427 Vert, this interior looks fantastic. If this truly fits golf clubs from a storage standpoint and is everything it looks to be this will make me jump for sure. Personally I love it and I would bet it looks even better in person.

I was thinking about the New GT500, but if this ends up to be equal pricing this wins all day long despite less power (Power that 99% don’t need or will never use).

Hats off to GM they finally got one right!!! What I mean by that is they got the Camaro wrong multiple times, their truck are awful compared to Ram, Fords new Expedition and Navigator blow away the GM rivals. They needed this. I am not knocking the C7 I love it too, I just helped my father find his.

Mostly agree. These will be bigger than the c7. Even the design interior looks great. However, I was really hoping for more than 495HP. I didn't want 750, but I was really hoping for something like 525 or 550.

One big thing....stingray? Completely new car needs a new name. But since that is the only thing, who cares!!!

Update: I really don't like the yellow color they chose. Way to neon. I may change my mind in person, but pictures I am a no. Two yellow Corvettes so far, this one might break the trend.

I see all these comments over the internet saying "It looks nothing like a Corvette".... if you look at the history and the many years back to it's origination, THIS is what the Corvette was envisioned to be. Everything before this was just a prelude to the reveal of "The Real Corvette. I am absolutely in love with everything about this car. it also just blows me away.

Fantastic! What a sports car! I started driving Corvettes in 1969, my mom’s car and got my own in 71. Have been owning and driving them all this time. This car is on fire it’s so hot. I’m very glad I built a second garage that is 930 sq. ft. 2 years ago. I will keep my C7 because I just can’t get enough of that car, it’s a wonderful driving machine, that is exciting every time I fire it up. Now comes the big question, who should I order one from for a smooth museum delivery?

I like it, might eventually get one a few years after they first come out. It seems the price point for that performance is quite good.
