.....and so will everyone else and their dog. I am disappointed they didn’t bump the price enough to make it a little more exclusive. Would also help hold up used values. You take a royal *** whooping on Corvettes if buy new. Even with a $10k discount they will be giving in a year. Way too high on production numbers. But it does look sweet.
Herp a derp...seriously it's a CORVETTE, not some overpriced sportscar that people only pay for so they can say they own a Por-sha! I would rather see more sports cars on the road, especially one that looks this cool than another bland *** Porsche Macan or Cayenne. The 911 has its place and its owners will still be able to say with authority that the German quality is better overall and they get their moderate exclusivity...for a price.
People who buy Corvettes are buying an experience, P-car buyers are deluded into believing that their 4S is somehow going to appreciate in value. It's a car, drive the thing, if you always need the latest and greatest then lease. Exclusivity is for the rich, if that is so important buy a Ferrari or Lambo.
It has to suck to be bitter about the introduction of an exciting new car because it costs too little...
I believe the Ferrari boys just filled their shorts...
No they didn't. They don't even cross shop this car nor do they even give it a thought. Now, will some try out the Hipo models? I'm leaning towards a yes on that one, but the base..............they are laughing at. I am on the other side of the coin. The car didn't really do much for me, but, I can see where the potential is and that is what I'm looking forward to. I think the Z06 is going to be nuts and whatever model above that even more insane, which is what I'm waiting on. Once Chevy can put 700-800 HP in the car, AWD, with that trans? Oh yea, I bet some Ferrari guys will move on over especially at the price point. But, then again, who knows. Doesn't matter anyways at the end of the day. Next week, the hype dies and everyone goes about their biz.
I was going to wait until winter and try to get a good deal on a C7 GS or Z06 but after last night I'm done with that idea. I love the looks of the C8 and can't wait to buy one of these.
Base price was 60k the car you are talking about is the Z51 optioned car I think. Rumour has it that will cost 85k.
The Z51 package on the C7 is a $5K option. I would expect that price to to be same or LESS on the C8 depending on what is included in the package. On the C7 the Z51 includes adding the dry sump oiling system. On C8, dry sump is already on the base car.
I was completely ready for disappointment and would have to settle for a C7 which I have never warmed up to..I am happy to be wrong on all counts
This is beautiful, thank you GM!

Sorry, but anyone that wants to pay more money fot the exact same product has some serious self esteem issues.
I do agree that GM should resist over producing these things to keep demand and resale high, but I think they want to sell tons of these things instead.
