I'd agree, not to mention if the only thing you are worrying about is wrecking on your own, factory crash protection is incredibly advanced these days. I think we've all seen the Z that popped the wall at the Nurburgring. Also the fact that you really shouldn't be in anything caged without a helmet, unless they could rig up the side impact airbags to work around it.
