Front view C8 looks wider by a few inches than the C5 but if you look at the back view it actually looks narrower than the C5.
The back of the C8 looks like the Millenium Falcon next to the C5!

This is a perfect example of forced perspective. The C8 is about a foot closer to the camera than the C5. Makes the car look larger than it is relative to the C5. This is true. They were not wheel to wheel. Just a cell phone shot. The fella driving came pretty quick when I parked next to it. It was at the corral most of the day. He got in started it up, rev'ed it up and drove off.

The photos are deceptive given the angle of the shots and wide angle lenses. It is bigger for sure but exaggerated in the photos.

If you want compact, the C6 was nearly as small and light as the C2. But has 430hp and 6SM.
