Seen the C-8 in the real world today. GM did an excellent job. Here is a shot of 3 Generations. No complaints here. And a couple next to a C-5 Z06.

I've no doubt that the C8 is considerably bigger than the C5.

C5s are tiny...but I have a feeling that the size difference is due as much to the camera as the size of the car. Most cell phone cameras tend to distort things a lot.

C8 at 76.1 inches is 1.3 inches narrower than the C7 GS/Z06/ZR1. 76.1" makes it 2.5" wider than the C5.

If they get the mileage and evolution out of this chassis that they did the c-5 then it will be a help of a success. Great pics makes me even more excited!

The C5 looks like something made in the 60s especially from the back when its parked next to the C8

That was the first thing I thought. Can't believe the difference. I guess that's the trend of most all modern sports cars. The new 911's are also massive compared to 20 years ago.

Can cars not be kept small anymore? Sheesh. I even see 488s next to 355s and think “why are these things so fat”. But this C8 looks massive.

The C8 is actually wider than the C7.

C8 is 76.1" wide as you said, that's without the mirrors. With them it's about 89". Subtract around 10 inches when the mirrors are folded for a width of 79 with mirrors folded.
C7 is 73.9" wide. But mirror to mirror was around 84".

The C8 doesn't look so huge in this pic. Found it on Rennlist.

I chuckled a little to myself when I realised that the mid-engined car has a bigger front grille than the front-engined cars. Lol

Great pics. Thanks for the post!

This is a perfect example of forced perspective. The C8 is about a foot closer to the camera than the C5. Makes the car look larger than it is relative to the C5.

C7 does not have a single width. There are two different widths. Stingray at 73.9 and GS/Z06/ZR1 at 77.4. All without mirrors.
