Actually, I would lump myself into the geezer and too much cash category. I have also owned several generations of the Corvette. The C7 didn't do it for me, so I kept my 427 vert for most of the series, but now am definitely moving back in once the convertible version is available. My point was more geared toward the younger generation who is coming from other types of vehicles where they do crazy mods. Will we see that move into the realm of corvette by those younger buyers?

Actually, I have been waiting with serious anticipation for the C8 reveal ,and it did not disappoint. I sold my 427 over the last few months getting ready to move into a C8 vert when the time comes. I think this car will be a high water mark for the brand, so long as there aren't too many first year issues. GM is going to sell a chitload of these cars to nontraditional Corvette buyers, as well as those of us who have owned many in the past and long for something more.

I'm sure something could be developed for the rear glass, similar to those coverings that go over the back window of pickup trucks.

The C8 is refreshing next to the abomination that was the C7.

To my knowledge, there are aftermarket companies right now working on flip-up head light and circular taillight conversion kits.

Thoughts of drilling holes, etc...brings first thoughts to my mind of "Liberty Walk" and/or "Rocket Bunny" crowd. To each their own...
