I get the love for four distinct rear lights, but I think circular wouldn't make sense on this car at all. I also get that gm is trying to have an identity whereby you can identify a gm product from behind by having similar designs a la c8 and camero. I don't see where flip up headlights make sense with either c7 or c8 design, but that is just me.
I think they did pretty well with the last few generations and need to continue the trend, regardless of what fan boys might thing. the brand is pulling its own weight and then some. we are actually pretty fortunate that the brass continues to invest in this car as they do. perfect, no, but damn good and achievable by many.

The biggest problem with drilling is the 1st hole. Once you past the psychological issue the rest go easy!

Had no issues "other than that 1st hole" drilling for side skirt rivets on my 2014 C7.

Dealer Tech had no problem drilling 13 holes per side for the GM rivets installing the Stage 2 Aero Option on my Grand Sport!
