I agree! I love the look of the Black. When it shinny it looks wet. It’s the “When” that worries me. I want to drive it not polish it. Lol! I just don’t have the shoulders for it anymore.
I've had many black cars and they are easy to keep clean if you keep at it. A ceramic coating can help a great deal here because dirt just falls off. A Corvette isn't really big enough to cause you an issue. Now a black Silverado would be a PITA. I have a red one and it really doesn't get enough love because it is so difficult to climb around and wash.

I never was able to figure out what makes washing a car more enjoyable than scrubbing the toilet. Wash a black car in the morning and it looks like crap to me in the afternoon, no color is worse for looking like it's dirty sooner and I don't like scrubbing toilets, I like driving. To me it's laughable that anyone would claim it's the same amount of work. Wash a silver and it still looks washed days later. Look at your black car you just washed hours ago and you're going to want to pull out your cleaning supplies to get the dust off. That's when you'll see all those swirls that every black car shows so well. Then you'll be wanting to do the clay bar routine. It never ends. Black is the devil. Black is evil. Black will break your heart. The last thing you do before you put the noose over your head will be to wonder why you bought black when you could have got silver.
And yeah, I've had 3 black cars at this point. Every time I told myself I would never do it again but time went by the annoyance was forgotten and I eventually purchased another. I suppose that makes me something akin to an addict with a poor record for maintaining sobriety. Let me sum it up this way: If you find washing the car a chore just like doing laundry or pulling weeds but you don't like your car to look dirty... Don't buy black.
