Default Once again...

Government Motors strikes again, what a bunch of F’ing losers all the hype, all the BS, all the showboating and grandstanding this car for months, and months ... the story changes everyday, it truly is a chapter from Bernie Maddows “How to rope in people and run a successful Ponzi scheme” - God help the lot of you that fell into this F’ing trap...!!!

Thier dealers who are trying to steal people’s money when they had enough of the Boob show and ask for deposits back - it’s a staggering display of Fooldruggery at it’s best - they should be ashamed of themselves and beg for forgiveness

Chill out........it’s just a game. We mustn't forget this is a mass produced GM product. IMO, you really need to be realistic and keep your expectations low. GM obviously isn’t concerned with brand reputation as proven by all that’s happening in the production process and by many of the dirtbags selling this product. GM is fine with that and thus so should you be. People are tripping over themselves (and tripping others) to get at it now, so that’s their concern; moving the mass merch. Right now, they have the luxury of ignoring everything except that. Eventually, the cycle will inevitably reverse as it always does and this product will be sitting on lots with marked down prices and salesman with their noses pressed against the showroom glass looking outside for someone to give them the time of day.

Look at the annual sales figures for the C7. The ones I saw showed a steady decline. Some of the competition will get this car and put their own version out too. I look forward to the future. Take the advice that I was given here. It was that GM owes me nothing. Since that IS the prevailing philosophy, if you can’t beat them, join them. Thus, I’ve come to terms with that and I owe GM nothing either. This is my first and last Corvette (GM product too). In 5 years, I look forward to what the market will offer to compete and best of all, I’ll never have to repeat this disaster as I am now much wiser. I am actually grateful to GM and my dealer for providing me a much needed education that will last the rest of my life, so my experience actually DID have something of substance and I’ve had dozens of opportunities to pass on my knowledge to those considering this car in the future with many hundreds to go.

Try turning a negative into a positive.........it’s worked for me.

Any more updates? Guess I don’t really care until 2021’s are in production but is good info.

Are there any known Constraints? Are they updated and posted anywhere online?

There are no known constraints at this time. Chevy/GM does not publish constraints other than to dealers.

Remember that even where there are no "known" constraints, "pseudo" constraints do exist to some degree. The exterior color of Silver Flare is an example. That color is dragging well behind all others with those ordering it likely to move at a much slower pace through the Event Code system to 4000 for at least the time being. As another is stating, it appears one interior configuration is now formally constrained for an indeterminate period.

My friend and neighbor ( GettysburgCliff) was also told today that his order couldn't get picked up today due to the SkyCool Grey / Strike Yellow interior. CONSTRAINED.

He's decided to wait and hope that it's lifted by next months consensus.

Hello,
I was at the top of Criswell Thurmont's list for today's consensus. I received a call this afternoon that my Sky Cool Gray/Strike Yellow Interior is constrained. I was given the choice of changing to a different interior and moving forward today or to wait until next month's consensus with the hope that the constraint will be lifted. I have been committed to this interior since it was offered on the "Visualizer" website for the 2021 model year. I've decided to wait.

Default 2021 Vert Constraint

I was also passed over last month due to the Sky Cool Gray/Strike yellow interior constraint. I went through the visualizer so many times to finally come up with an interior I loved that had all the details in it that I wanted and now on constraint. I wanted the gray interior but have seen so many reviews that the vent holes make it look soiled and wanted the competition buckets and that interior did everything. Gave me the comp seats, gray seating area without the holes and with the yellow trim and stitching WOW! Also love the yellow little trim area at top of steering wheel. Not sure what to do now

This is a tough pill to swallow. I've thought about it because I may have backed myself into a corner of there being only one interior I wouldn't want to do without, but it would be very hard to pass up an allocation--especially later in the spring/summer--so I'm trying to come up with an alternative that I like just as much. Sometimes, that even means reconsidering the color of the car itself, but there's really only one color I want! Such a decision during the winter is bad enough, but if it meant not getting my C8 in 2021, I'd have to settle for something else. I hope I'm never in your situation.

The vent holes don't look "soiled" to the naked eye, only in some pictures. I've critically viewed my GT2 seats in Natural and they simply don't. The only person I'd be lying to if they did was myself.

I put a call into Corvette Concierge on Monday asking if the Sky Cool Gray/Strike yellow interior is still on constraint and so HAPPY to advise they say is NOT. They took 2 days because they had to escalate my question to The Team. Fingers crossed she was right and will get selected this allocation. I really was having a hard time trying to pick another interior and/or exterior color. Good luck to ALL Gray/Strike Yellow Interior Vetties
