It looks like a metallic version of Porsche's custom order color Chalk. Porsche's color lacks depth; but complementary on curved surfaces. I think it would look very flat on the C8.
Adding metallic in the GM color creates paint depth highlighting the sharp body creases of the new Corvette. Unique color that should be a hit.
I went twice to see the C7s on the lot in Ceramic Grey. I did not like it. Did some research with PPG and there is some blue pearl and violet pearl in the color. I can see why people like it and it is definitely different, but not for me.
I was comparing it to White and Blade Silver and going with Silver because it shows the lines the best (silver is always used to present new car designs to the top brass). If they made it in Shark Grey or maybe even Watkins Glen I might have done that. I don't like how GM feels the need to put purple and blue in their grey colors. Shadow Grey is the same. Same with my Silverado, went with Silver instead of Tugsten because Tungsten looks purple in certain light. Just my opinion
I didn't like it either on the C7, but I think it works on the C8. Can't explain why, but I do think it catches a lot of light/shadow edges to the eye. On the C7, I thought it looked really flat.
I would describe it as somewhere between Arctic White and Blade Silver. Definitely doesn't look like primer. Its pretty striking imo.

OH MAN.... just noticed. how far the front tires extend from the sides behind the wheel well...
Ain't no splash guard gonna fix that. Looks like skirts will be a 'mandatory' item:
Pictures actually don't do the car justice - it looks great in the C7 series, but it's as if Ceramic Matrix was made for the C8. Definitely my favorite color in the C8 lineup.
Definitely would have chosen in if it was this color, just not a fan of the C8 color, to me it's ceramic super light blue
I almost messed up and picked Ceramic Gray Metallic thinking it was the color of this mustang. When you look at the color examples in all of the C8 events, CGM looks much darker than it looks on the actual car.
