Default Ceramic Gray Metallic

Hi folks, just saw the C8 in ceramic gray metallic at the Indianapolis 500 speedway at a dealer event. I did not like it too much in the C 65 but in this body style it looks off the charts beautiful! I have blade silver orderd but I think I’m going to change to the ceramic gray because I love white and this is a happy medium between the two. It goes from gray metallic to a hint of light blue metallic in the sun it is just gorgeous. What are the thought of other people that have seen it? Thank you

I ordered it on my c8 after much debate between ELB and SG. I saw a new ZR1 in CMG and thought it was great. Very unique color.

I have it, it’s a great colour. It really sparkles in the sun!

might get it on a c8zo6, or the yellow. Undecided.

Yeah it is a sharp color for sure...I am waiting on the Z06/Spider to see what I think before making a C8 buy decision but if I do CGM will be on my list along with Blue, Yellow and Orange....those are the four colors I like. BMW has a similar color that I have liked for years to the CG that the C8 now offers...we will see. I agree if you like white cars (I do too), CG is a nice choice...good luck.

Same here...torn between the CG, Yellow, Blue or Orange...waiting to see the Z and the Spider and then I will decide.

I was torn between the ceramic grey and white because I had to order mine without seeing one in person I chose White with red leather. I wish I had seen this thread before the order I may have changed to Ceramic grey.

I hope that Ceramic Gray is going to be seen at a number of dealerships. In the photographs it has had the exact appearance described- from gray to very light blue depending on the sunlight. It appears to be spectacular in a number of shots. However, some have described it as having an almost flat gray, putty-like look. I have never seen that in a photo. I hope we will hear from many more on what they think.

I ordered the ceramic grey with the 2 tone blue interior. I saw the CGM at the Museum and went home and changed from Lake Elkhart Blue to the ceramic grey.

You can still change, its far from being picked up by factory. Haven’t Seen White in person but the ceramic gray is really a beautiful interesting color

If you need to see the color in person and can’t find a CMG Corvette on a dealer lot, the same paint code is also used by Cadillac (called Glacier White) and on some GM branded vehicles.

I took these shots at the museum. In direct sunlight, it looks metallic white. Down the side of the car that is in shadow, it looks a pail blue-gray. This color was not on my radar at all until I saw it in person...I could not turn away. I changed my order as soon as I got home. I love some white cars, but the C8 white shown below just did little to enhance the car's styling IMO, though I respect that others love it.

It really doesn't look like primer. To me, it's more of a blue/grey tinted white with metallic flake. Pretty color if your preferences fall more on light colors, and you want something a little more "interesting" than white. I guess it's Chevy's attempt to offer a metallic white, but with a little more character. It's a great color for those that like the contrast of the carbon flash trim pieces.

Now, if you want to talk "primer" colors -

The GT350's offered Avalanche Grey when first introduced, and I really like that shade. It was replaced by a darker shade called Lead Foot Grey which is a great color too. Toyota trucks have a color called "Cement" that's a shade darker, and I like that one as well.

It's all about personal taste. It would be a pretty boring world if we all shared the same taste.

Me? I plan on getting a dark color; Black, Shadow Grey Metallic, or hopefully, something more like the three grey shades I described above if they are ever offered. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the next colors offered isn't a darker, non-metallic grey.

Were you referring to Shadow Gray being to dark?
