I cannot decide between the Trident black or spec gray. I like the idea of the car being all black & red only...…… just not sure about the Trident black wheels

Spectra Gray. I'm coming from black wheels on my C7 but will have the Spectra Gray Tridents on my C8.
I have seen them in person. They are not bad. I like them because they are all black unlike the open spoke carbon flash wheels with the machined lip.
.
Agreed, I didn't like the lip either so I spec'ed mine with the black trident. IMO though, it also makes a huge difference having painted calipers to break up the sudden contrast.
There is always black Plasti Dip. Don’t laugh. I have used it on my ZO6 Grey wheels and it has lasted a full year and can be peeled off easily if all the rules are followed when it is applied.
I have tried to upload pics but I consistently have all image uploads lock up at 90%.
I am waiting on the Z06 Spider which may be different by then, but luckily for me, right now I like the base Bright wheels the best anyway...has a very clean and Ferrariesque look I think.
lol...if the GM bean counters decide the guys who are paying Z and Spider money will pay for chrome they might just have them on the option list, haha...but seriously I see GM going more Ferrariesque with the C8 so probably no chrome wheels. Also unfortunately they aren't following Porsche's example and optioning MT's in every model except the RS...the DCT's can't be beat on the track or the street but yeah lot's of us like the engagement of shifting. I went A8 in my C7 Z just because I wanted to just relax for once but in a C8 Z I would definitely opt for the MT if it was available....but as I said you can't beat a DCT.
