Agree
His review of the C7 ZR1 is painful for that reason - he was trying to man-handle the tranny, should have just let it do it's thing int he correct mode.

Sound:
I think a lot of what we are hearing is Intake sound!! 'Induction' noise!! whooO!!! Tadge mentioned the intakes being where they are feed a lot of intake sound to the cabin. That'll be awesome and a very different experience than previous gens..

BS. Matt short-shifted many times. That was not only my listening impression, but I also used a spectrum analyzer to make sure.

Not true. There was one time when he was on the rpm limiter at approximately 6500 rpm (also measured with the spectrum analyzer).

Fair enough.

This is the best driving corvette video to date. The car shifts fast and sounds bad *** for an Stock LT motor!

There will be lots of good exhausts coming out for this car. All the current mid engine cars sound weak sauce and sound way better with a better exhaust. This will be no difference for the C8

Can you post a link to this? I'd like to read more.

What impressed me most was the smooth suspension despite being in, what I assume was, track mode. That and what looked like very precise steering.

Sorry, but Fat Matt is clueless and annoying, and has been for a long time.

This video was the first thing he's posted of any value, that I can remember.

Yes, best C8 Video yet.SWEET! Sounds like a combination of paddles and auto. Auto downshifts are definitely DCT.Still think the Zo6 will pull better on the top end but this is still a lot of car.Now if they can only fix the rearend styling......Not trading my 18 Z in anytime soon.

Seems to go over the curbs like they aren't even there! The car appears very well composed.

Are those the GT2 seats? Bolsters don't look high enough to be Comp seats.

I wouldn't say the C7's strong point is the *** end, just sayin.....................

This is a dead horse but on both the C7 and C8 I wish they would have stuck with the round tail light design and updated it a bit. Something like on the new Ford GT.

Thank you for the video. That was amazing. Looks like he scared himself on a couple of those turns where he got a little loose. To me it looked like he was trying REALLY hard at the end to not say something like "OMFG this car is amazing!!" Mix of adrenaline and restraint lol

Matt Farrah is a Corvette guy, by the way. He owned a C5 and that car was heavily featured during the early part of his YouTube career.

He's a die-hard Corvette fan.

I have a good friend who owns 11 Corvettes. He is actually somebody in the real world so I won't mention who he is. However he can't drive one for ****. So does that qualify him to be giving driving impressions because he is a Corvette guy? Hardly.

Exactly...and it's unfortunately a trend that has propagated throughout youtube as well. This regurgitating, European influenced, book reader vs builder, holier than thou thing.

SavageGeese from youtube just showed his hand as being one in the same...and go figure he and Matt Farrah were just two peas in a pod on his podcast. Savagegeese calls Z06's zed-oh-six's as if being uber European just makes your opinion more valid. It frankly disgusts me...lol.
