Unless he meant profitably as in more production. There's a reason why the Mustang offered with a V6(I4). It's cheaper for certain customers than wouldn't get a V8 priced Mustang and it's welcome to fleet/ rental companies. This is mainly to offset the R/D costs of the Mustang itself with higher volume sales. The problem is this really only works with high volume production and Mustang sales has been on the decline no matter what they do. They hit the 100K mark only once in the last 10 years.

Dealer contacted me on Thursday requesting my preferred build, as to get me into the system (Retail Sold), so I would be price protected. Reading in between the lines it looks like they are expecting a price adjustment. Someone has to pay for those 11K signing bonuses. Dropped the 2LT package and changed to convertible , NPP. ELB + HUP. Probably pushed delivery into the summer.
