I didn't see an option for $0 because that is what this gimmick is worth.

I would think less of any friend that ordered such a thing.

I know exactly what I was saying and I was being more facetious than coy. I'm a smart *** by nature, I'm an old DAGO that wears his heart on his sleeve, not a keyboard cowboy, any that knows me knows what I type is what I would say to your face. I laugh way more than I am upset or pissed. Life is way too short to be miserable, so I have fun while I'm above ground. BTW, based on the replies, you might want to abandon your E-stick idea. Applaud you for thinking outside of the box though.

I currently own a C7 with an M7 transmission. I’ll be honest, I’m not a manual lover, so losing the manual to a DCT in the upcoming C8 is nothing I’ve lost sleep over. So to answer the OP’s original question, no, I wouldn’t be interested. In addition, I feel a modified C8 (or almost any modified vehicle for that matter) will get you less when you go to sell. So, something like this would most likely potentially devalue the vehicle. In summary, I’m sorry but not interested.

If you want to make money, ditch this idea and work on removing the 'divider wall' and relocating those buttons. I'd pay for that.

Sorry, doesn't work that way. You don't get to control the "rules for posting".

1. I'm 38

2. Is it good form to insult the majority of customers you're trying to get free market research from?

Here is the problem... You say, "imagine best case scenario", then proceed to say that replicating the action and feel of a true MT would cost too much, essentially mooting your own previous statement (because that would be the "...best case scenario").

I really don't see you being successful here, since you are wanting to offer/sell an "MT-like experience", but you are not really offering what a MT fan would be looking for, or what they would consider an "MT-like experience".

I appreciate your response. In defense, I mean, we got to imagine realistically here. You're not getting an Fcar for $85G. No matter what the rags say. That's what I mean. You can't get ALL the MT feel for 2-3k. However you can get +95% functionality with just $2k. And it will look factory. Bare bones, all that's being done is providing an additional on off switch of the paddle shifters housed in a shifter. 3rd pedal is simply another button for pulling both paddles. That's 100% functionally equivalent. You're right about the implementation being critical. That's the sell. Say the lower limit is an on/off switch with no gradient. That's where the difference lies in MT fandom. Me personally, I'd consider it. If it sucked, I'd just uninstall it. Easy gamble for me personally at 2k if it was available.

You don't drift much. Period. But you tried to imply you have some experience when it's woefully obvious you DO NOT.

BTW, I'm not finger pointing at you, per say. This is by far the most posture filled membership i have ever encountered in +20yr of forums since bbs days. I've frequented FerrariChat, Rennlist, Renntech, HybridZ.org, Miata.net, LotusTalk, 6Speedonline, BuickGNZ, Turbobuick, Zcar, etc... I wonder why that is?

I see who you are now -- extremely bigoted while criticizing others for 'childish' behavior. I've been on a LOT of other auto enthusiast forums too over the decades, and your behavior would not be appreciated at most of those either.
