Yea, I also thought the whole seating was replaced with sueded microfiber when you chose that option. Perhaps someone with the option can chime in to clarify on whether it is just the perforated portions or the whole seating surface and the description is wrong.

seeing as it’s persistent through at least the last two generations and shows up on other GM vehicles I wouldn’t hold my breath.

My 6-year-old 2008 C6 3LT, 2014 4-year-old C7 3LT and my just sold 3 1/2-year-old 2020 C8 3LT dashes were perfect when sold!

Despite the POTENTIAL of the self-delaminating dash…
One of the deciding factors for me (in addition to the contrast stitching) is the lower dash colors on the 3LT.

which apparently is only available with Natural Napa and NOT with the Mulan option (Configurator will not allow)
