Selling a spot?
A reputable dealer would not allow this. One way to get around it would be for the person with the spot to go ahead and order the car the way you want it and then sell it to you after they take delivery. Of course, at this point it is already a 2 owner car and you are essentially dealing with a private used car purchase (even though it is brand new) with all the potential pitfalls that entails.
There are (or at least were) several for sale on eBay that are selling for absurd amounts just for the spot, you then have to pay MSRP.

Hmm, you missed the point or your using the wrong word! If you want to be the 1st in your town to drive a C8, you’ll pay the “appreciated,” price from someone willing to sell their early allocation!
Sure you can wait and probably get 15% off a brand new C8 from Kerbeck, perhaps a 2022!
