It is your position on your dealers pre order list.

Default Priority number

Mine says number 1 and I know I am not number 1 on the allocation list.

I’ve got two workbench orders from different dealers and one says 10 and one says 1 and I don’t think I’m number 10 or 1 at either dealership. But would like to find out if anyone on here knows??

My priority number is 99, and my dealer has 40 allocations.

Priority is a dealer assigned number that only has an impact when GM comes and takes an order for production. #1 will be pulled first, as long as it passes the constraints. If there is more than one allocation, GM will continue taking orders until the allocations are filled or there are no more orders in the queue.

If multiple orders are in the queue at the same priority, it is almost a random choice as to the order that is placed.

By default, Sold Orders get priority 1, similarly stock orders get 99.

This is the correct answer. To add to it, any dealer that has customer orders waiting to be filled will not allow GM to randomly pull orders. They will manage the process to fill in the list order within any constraints that may exist.

Where is the priority number? I see an order # that’s 6 letters.

Depending on the printout that you have been given by the dealer, it may or may not appear.

There are dealer versions and customer versions of the order sheets.

Does this only pertain to Corvettes? I special ordered a GMC truck a couple of weeks ago and got nothing except price and a " we will call you when it comes in around mid January"

The dealer-facing ordering system is one and the same for all of the GM vehicles.

The dealer gets to see only the brands in the franchise location, a GMC-Buick store can't spec out a Chevrolet.

Thanks, JDogg, for the explanation. The only line item next to a "1" on my Workbench printout is "quantity". Good to know that I am paying for only one C8!

On my Order Workbench right below Event Description: 3000 there is a Prioriy:1. Not sure what the priority 1 means since at this point it’s out of the dealers hands. Btw my TPW is 02/03.
