Just got my TPW moments ago. March 16th. I will be in BG to drive the C8 on the track. Staying there March 12-14. May have to stay longer. It would be cool to see it built, but probably no luck getting in the plant at that time.
I also have a 3/16 tpw of my Elkhart Lake Blue 2lt Adrenaline red interior ,was hoping for a later tpw so that I could take a buyers tour but happy my order is in.
My dealer kinda sucks at communicating. They have yet to respond to a voicemail/email/text I send them. I did catch him on the phone once. Trying to find out what number I am in the list atm so I have a better idea of when the order should be placed so I can decide when I try to sell my current car but no luck so far getting him to respond. I suppose spending 73k on a car doesn't mean too much to them in the end since I've probably spent less then 5 minutes talking to anyone about it.
My dealer so far hasn’t been bad at all about flow of info which has pretty much been nothing new since December 3. Go to Chevy.com and click on that chat in bottom left and the site will ask if it’s for the C8 then a person will get on and answer any questions you have about your order. I didn’t even have my order number and they were nice enough to give it to me and answered a few other questions. Tried to get the to pull my order first but they couldn’t other than that, that’s my only grip. Haha
Your order at the dealer at 1100 status means nothing to Chevy and the production plant no matter when placed.
Until your dealer matches your order to one of their allocations provided by Chevy for the New C8 corvette and submits it, nothing will move to the next level. Ask your dealer when your order will be matched with one of their actual allocations? Once they do that your order will go from 1100 to 2000 which is acceptance. Then your order will move to 3000 and be issued a TPW, which denotes what week your car will be built. Add 4-5 weeks for delivery to your dealer. Hope that helps!
Does a museum delivery hold up an allocation match to the dealer, or getting from the 1100 to the 2000? Dealer having problem matching with the museum delivery of a convertible? Thank you
