For C7, auto transmission changed from 6 to 8 speed after first MY. That was the major change. And some minor DIC changes, etc.
Same for C6. Auto tranny changed from 4 to 6 speed after first MY. Then some minor cosmetic, like exterior XM antenna disappeared, etc.
I say it might be the same for C8. Some minor (enhancement) changes for sure. Major change in drive-train pending.
I would like to see some new wheels definitely, neither of the current wheels is perfect. Would like to see the return of Polo Green. And would like to see a twin-turbo option, though I expect that may not show up till 2022.
First off price will be similar it will only go up a few hundred dollars a thousand at most. You won’t see many changes colors maybe. What you will see are many part changes and quality upgrades. You might see a HP gain to something like 505hp because it sounds better than 495. The second and third model years get many hidden quality improvements. It’s never advisable to buy a first year model from any car maker.

The 2nd year C7 got a new transmission (A8), the PDR, changes to the infotainment screen, and new colors.
There's no reason to think upgrades will be limited only to quality improvements. The C7 price went up a couple of grand from the 2014 intro to 2015, so assuming the price will only go up a couple of hundred is probably wishful thinking.
No one outside GM and a few suppliers (and maybe favored friends of the factory) knows what GM will change for '21. But I'd bet that the rearview mirror / camera will become standard on the 1LT once the price goes above $60K.
No dramatic change for 2021, I'd expect build quality tweaks and little else. Typical is to intro higher performance to entice the lead footed, but no reason to go nuts changing something years in the making. Maybe a color or two drop out and one or two get added. Again to appeal to the guy who is still on the fence.
And for those asking about lane avoidance and adaptive cruise that you can find in most any modestly priced Japanese SUV? Chevrolet will tell you the car is all about the driving experience.
